Updated list of Refurbs for 2014

We are taking the kids the first week of March and can't believe that Both SM and Indiana jones will be closed. Plane tickets have been bought as well as accommodations or I would have definatley postponed our trip. My 7 year old will be crushed not to ride INdiana Jones with me as he was 1/2 inch too short 2 years ago and has been waiting ever since. And SM is his favorite ride. Yes it is still Disneyland and lots of things to see and do but it's a very expensive trip for most families not to be able to go on so many of their favorite rides. We always get a five day pass but may look into cutting it short and adding more days in palm springs. Disneyland should be offering discount passes seeing that so many of the most popular rides will be closed during spring break. You think they could have waited until after Easter and before summer for the closures. Extremely poor planning on their part.
What a total bummer to discover!

I'm so bummed for your son. What a disappointment!

We arrive April 29th and I am seriously hoping Indy is back up and running for the 25th as stated. I'm sad about Space Mountain and Soarin still being down, but I understand that going off season means ride closures. I AM surprised and the number of big ticket items down during Spring Break though. So sorry guys. It sucks :(

I was about to post the same thing. We arrive for two weeks on the 27th. Hope Indy is truly up by then as it's a top 5 ride for me at least.

Is it unusual for them to extend a refurb? I know that Big Thunder is a slightly different situation. I will be mad if Thunder is still down by then!

No, it is not. It is also not unusual for it to open a day or two early.

My husband and I will be at DL May 6 through May 13th to celebrate our 25 anniversary (of when we met / not wedding). It will be my second trip to DL (went June 2013 with my DS) but it will be my husbands first trip to DL.

I was mostly bummed about SM still being down, but on a positive side my husband shouldn't ride it because of his seizure disorder. Also was bummed about Nemo being down, just because I didn't get a chance to ride it last summer.

But on the flip side. I am very happy that BTMR will be back up. We missed it last year and it will definitely be on my "must ride" over and over list.

Keeping my fingers crossed that they don't push back the Indy refurb and that it opens when they have it currently scheduled.

I am at DL and they closed Nemo a day early. So sad as we were hoping to ride before the long closure.

Can anybody in the parks today confirm that GRR is, in fact, operating? Thank you!

I don't see Indiana Jones as being scheduled for refurb anymore on the Disney Map? It looks like it might have changed?

Also, I found this other website that is keeping up with the list daily.

http://www.dlandlive.com/disneyland-resort-attraction-closures-and-special-events

I went to this map: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/maps/
and zoomed in until I got to Indy and it does still say it's down 3/3-4/25

But I sure would love if you are right and it's off the list until after my March trip haha!

POTC's refurb (1/17 to 2/13) is no longer showing on the calendar on DL's website (it was yesterday), but it is still showing on the interactive map. What are the chances they decided against the refurb? Please tell me it's extremely high, like 100% or so.

Pirates isn't supposed to go into refurb until Jan. 27th

Whoops, my bad. But it still is not showing a POTC refurb on the DL website calendar for that date range. However, the interactive map (on the DL website) still shows a refurb from 1/27 to 2/13.

My next trip is probably 2/12 to 2/14--one day of POTC is better than none, but my streak of riding the POTC at least once every day I am at DL/DCA will come to end. :sad1:

I'm watching the Pirates thing like a hawk, too. I noticed it came off the refurb listing on the park hours calendar last night. We're there 1/30 a 2/2, so it's scheduled to be down the whole time we are there.

I also noticed that they are offering lunch and dinner reservations for Blue Bayou every day of the scheduled refurb. That was definitely not the case when I booked my other dining reservations. (Trust me, I looked. Many times.)

Traditionally, Blue Bayou goes down when Pirates goes down. It's strange, for sure.

Keeping my fingers crossed along with you!

We have reservations at blue bayou during the refurb time. We were wondering about that!! I hope everything works out and we can do pirates and blue bayou!! :)

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining. After I made some modifications to existing reservations, I asked about Pirates. I just said,, "I'm so confused because its not listed in the park hours calendar, but its still listed on the attractions map, and i don't know which is right." I was told that they just decided to push that refurb back until after Spring Break (she said April, but didn't give specific dates).

Now I get that the dining folks aren't always in the know, but she did say it was a VERY recent decision, and all the dining line folks were super excited about it.

So, I won't relax until I see it changed everywhere, but I just did a total happy dance of joy in my kitchen.

Noooo! I am going at the end of April beginning of May and Pirates is one of my favorite must do rides! I hope it's at least in early April and done by the end!
