UPDATED Is anyone else still waiting for lottery news?

I have bad lottery luck, but I'm still just a little hopeful... I'm still waiting on news though.... My guide left a message last night that she hadn't been notified regarding her members yet....

Anyone else still waiting?

I just heard from my guide (she is such a peach...) Anyways, she said we weren't chosen.... There were only 125 points for BW September use year, that only allowed enough for 2 contracts

My guide thinks that there are still a few BW August use year points leftover, so if you have August & want a few points, it might be worth calling...

I too am waiting. I called in again this morning. The interesting info I received is that NOBODY received a call yet; no winners have been determined, they are STILL determining who won, etc...

People here have posted that they have been contacted and won. Just a straight answer would be nice.

Perhaps they are giving the first drawn winners a chance to claim their points and keeping the rest of us in a holding status in case one of the chosen fall through.

Just a thought...

Mickbee you hit the nail on the head. My guide told me this a.m. that the first people drawn are being notified and the rest of us have to wait and see what happens. Also if you requested say a 50 point add on and only 25 are left they will phone you and give you the option. I was called Saturday, but because the word got out on the internet, first come first serve was abandonned and the lottery was used. I've been on a wait list since March with DVC- resale is too pricey for small add ons, so I am disappointed that I lost out to the lottery system. I suppose if I was on the other side of the fence and wasn't offered the option, I would be upset that it was kept quiet. Well, keep your fingers crossed, maybe we'll be lucky!

I just wanted to confirm what Kem said... My guide said much the same that Kem's said.... They waited to contact those that didn't win... They confirmed those who were chosen, got all their information in order, and when all that was done, then they notified us.... I also received a call on Saturday from my guide notifying me of the first come first served, but then when she came in Tuesday she updated me regarding a lottery... I believe a wonderful resale may come my way regardless.... I've been on the waitlist for BW since January... Patience is a virtue!!!

Kem, which use year do you have? Ours is September...

We have Dec use year, BWV. Guess we will wait for BCV (at a much higher cost, I'm afraid)

Us too! We got the last 25 points for June BW. I had asked for 50, but gladly took what was left. Got the call at 11 this morning. Yeehah!

Hey Chris:

Don't sweat it ..... BWV is still my favourite resort, but I really believe it is more convenient to buy an add-on at the BCV than adding-on at BWV at this time. That way you will be able to take at least one long vacation every 2 years at BCV or just mix it with the BWV.

About cost...I don't really think the cost will be that much higher, and I am almost sure that points/night will be exactly the same as WLV. If cost is $85/pt, and you buy, say, a 70 pt. add-on, you'll end up paying $700 more than this year. Of course you will keep your $5250 a year longer and could earn interest off it.

Just heard from my guide, Larry Hope, that I was able to get 100 Boardwalk Villa points in the lottery!!!! Even better is that it is two separate contracts ( 75pt and 25pt ). I had been disappointed with myself for not buying more when they originally sold so this just makes my day.

Congrats. Bigcat!, we were also just selected in the lottery to get an additional 200 BWV august use year points. We also lucked out being the same use year we already have. We were in Hershey park when our guide called my husband's cellphone. It was a nice surprise.
