UPDATED - I'M FLYING TO ORLANDO!!!! Omg - Airfares!!!!!!

They just changed before my eyes!!!!! I know you are probably tired of hearing about airfares but I just thought I'd go in and check what Orbitz had listed for today.....They had the flight that I had been wanting for $196, round trip from O'Hare!!!! I'm like, NO WAY. So I go to the United site and it's listed, same flight, at $246.50. So I start looking at other sites - travelocity was $246.50, another site showed 196.50. So I went back to United after searching and checking other flight times, etc - this is after a half hour and low and behold - within that half hour United changed the $246 fare to the $196 fare. I have made phone calls and the same price that is available online is available over the phone (sometimes you run into internet fares). So I am in the process of trying to get this darn flight booked!!! To top this off...my dh has a voucher for about $71 that I can use so this will make my ticket to be around $125!!!!!!! I feel like I have struck gold because everytime I find a flight...I panic thinking I should book it!!!!!! ROFL

So again - to anyone trying to find great rates.....just checking everday can sometimes land you some great deals!!!!!

I just booked my flight and dh will be on his way soon to the ticket office to pick up my ticket and exchange the voucher.....ticket total.....

OH MAN....the waiting had been killing me!!!! I was so worried about not getting a great airfare. And maybe these rates will drop even a bit more but to me paying $125 is a great rate and if it goes down more then it goes down more. But I don't think I could have gotten a rate that low without the voucher so I'm pretty happy.

Great news Chris. Soon after reading your thread, I decided to check airfares to Orlando for our November cruise. Wow was I shocked to see just how HIGH they are. The best fare that Orbitz could find for me was $275 per person. Considering the fact that we just flew down there last week for $116 per person, I know that I'm just going to have to be patient like you were in order to get a better deal.

I know Bean...and when Mike called and said he had my ticket in his hand....IT REALLY HIT ME....I'M GOING TO DISCON!!!!!!!

I know John...that was very very very hard for me and I have been checking sometimes 3-4 times a day. I think I just hit it just right!!

Well, I haven't got our DIS-Con flights booked yet. But, just last night my friend and I booked our flights for our Labor Day weekend trip! Non-stop on American for $136.50!

Now, we just have to tell our boss that we are both leaving at noon that day!
