Hey all!

Just an update of the 3 prior threads into one shorter, and hopefully easier to read thread.

UPDATES:

1) The first 100-150ish members who purchase at least 150 AKV points are eligable for the Founder's Tapestry. My source believes that it is 150 members!

2) There is an error in my point charts. Deep-Croaker just got a team email, that Corporate made an error in the point charts and new ones are being released. RUMOR is it is the Standard Views that are affected.

3) Points: For purchases over 100 points, 1:1 developer points. They expire 7 months after purchase, can not be banked, transferred, and actually are in a seperate sub-account, not your regular account. ALL 2007 Use Years WILL recieve 2007 UY points, but they may not be used until September (at AKV or other DVC). Normal Banking deadlines apply.
Only 35,000 points are currently available. 150 pts X 150 Founding Members would be 22,500 of those points.

4) Sales Timing: The earliest sales can be sent by your guide, is via email at 8:00AM EST. They are date and time stamped. Any earlier will be rejected.

I believe my sources, and I am sharing this data in a fun and I feel exciting way. You don't have to trust me or my sources. Either way, we will know for sure tomorrow.

UPDATE: June 4, 2007 AKL goes to $104.00 for DVC Members

The '15' person Grand Villas Rumored for the Kidana Building, will have beds/recliners for 14 people. Plus one child under 3. No guidelines set for MS yet, RE booking these yet to be built GVs.

CONCIERGE LEVEL and VALUE ROOMS will have a variety of views. Right now, no plans to allow guarenteed view booking!

AKV stays starting September 1st, 2007

AKV ressies start being made April 4th, 2007 with AKL Points only!

May 2nd, 2007, ressies open to all DVCers.

Maintenance Fees reportedly $4.62 per year.

Four Room Categories:

Value: Smaller than current BCV rooms (Old Standard AKL rooms), yes they have a window, and no recliner/sleeper in Value 1,2 or 3 bedrooms.

Standard: May be larger than current BCV Rooms (Deluxe AKL Rooms). These are abvove have sleeper recliner in 1/2/3 BR Villas. Pool and possibly garden views.

Savannah View: A guarenteed view.

Killomanjaro: (Concierge Level, with all benies!) No GV's in the existing AKL. CONFLICTING RUMOR: Second source states 6, 1 story GVs in the AKL. ????

Payments (if DVC Loan) start 90 days after purchase, no grace period until building opens.

Value view rooms will be limited, so you may really need the 11 month window.

The Main Building (existing) is called Jambo House (It may be already, I have never been to AKL!). It will have 6 'standard' Grand Villas.

The New building will be called Kidana Village. Right now, the floor plans for GV show sleeping for 15!!!!! This is a 2 story GV. (Official Occupancy, no info yet!) The GVs in the Jambo Building will be one story.

78% of all rooms (Both buildings) will be Savannah View!. Lock off 1 and 2 bedroom units in Kidana will have an extra Bathroom, thus 2 for a 1 Bedroom and 3 for a 2 Bedroom.

TOTALLY UNRELATED: AKA BONUS RUMOR!

My Compliance Source states the point morphing (both home resort and use year bugs) will be corrected in the next several days. Supposedly IT has been working on this fix for the last 2 years! My take, I'll believe it when I see it!



UPDATE: BCV Is in such short supply, despite ROFR, look for a price increase in BCV very soon, near $100.00 a point. Time to call Jason at TTS!

I was told that cast members were excluded from this release, so it was only availble to the existing DVC members. Can't confirm, but that is what i was told.

Interesting about them taking e-mails for date stamping the first 100-150ish 150pt contracts. I guess if you don't have e-mail (like my parents and in laws) and your guide is late to work or off, you are out of luck.

One question about the e-mail, would that have be to your guide or member services?

I was told the same thing today by my guide, that CMs are excluded.

The email is from the MS-GUIDE to what ever department does the sales paperwork (Compliance, Corporate, I have no clue!). Our (Owner's) emails don't count!

Hi Jim:

My understanding is all 8 use years will be available, with 2007 points, but the points cannot be used until September either at AKV or other DVCs. They are bankable and transferrable, and probably borrowable.

Developer points are 1:1 purchased points > 99 point minimum (100+).
They really are limited, and not worth the $8.00 IMHO.

P.S. I was originally going for an April UY, and then considered December, and finally requested October. My guide said she thought all would be available.

Called my guide today, purchased 160 AKV points, she will e-mail the proposal tomorrow morning 8AM!!!!

BTW, she told me the guides can 'officially' start the pre-purchases as of NOW. So, if you are waiting for Thursday, you can call today.

I really like the Oct UY that we have for our VWL contract. It is great for the Nov/Dec ressies. I just dont know if we want points there since we have never even went to see the resort.

This is my speculation and goes against my sources, but since 150 X 150 is 22,500 of those first 35,000 points, I suspect anyone buying more than 150 points will get in on the Founder's Tapestry. Weither that is only 100 names or 233.3 family names.

BTW I checked, despite being corporately owned, my family name can go up instead of my corporate name, FROG, Inc.

I don't quite understand the "value" category. So these will be studios that only sleep 2, 1BR's that only sleep 2, and 2BR's that only sleep 4-6? That guess is based on "no pull out". Will these be the parking lot views?

It does look like a 2br savannah view room in Adventure season is the same as a 2br at the VWL... not too bad. I'm slightly more worried about being able to get a ressie here at 7 months than I was about the BCV. Of course, BCV has turned out not to be a problem at all for us to book when we go, so hopefully this will work out.

If I were considering an add-on at the moment I think I'd be strongly leaning towards points here!

Just what my guide told me. No gurantees.

Tapestry is first 250 people and they expect that to take a week or so to sell. He did say it's been crazy there!

Update 2, he called back. I have a March use year. I get all 150 points immediately, but they are waiving the banking deadline so I can bank these points into 07.

Update 3. he called again. I don't get points until March 07. LOL! He got confused with SSR!

(I have talked to him more today then in five years!)
