I read through some of the sticky threads but couldn't find updated FP information. I know about the return times being enforced, but I'm wondering what rides are disconnected from others nowadays. Any info or advice would be much appreciated!

Rides are connected. The 2 parks (DL and DCA are not connected). Shows and meet and greets are not connected.

It used to be that certain rides like Roger Rabbit, Big Thunder Mountain, Radiator Springs Racers, and Screamin' were often not connected (especially Roger Rabbit). But that seems to have changed. DCA is a very busy place and having both RSR and Screamin' back on the grid along with Tower of Terror, Grizzly River Run, and Soaring makes people have to choose FP and helps all FP last longer. I'm not sure about Roger Rabbit, but with Big Thunder Mountain being reimagined last year it needed to be put back on the grid. It still has a shorter standby line than other coasters at Disneyland, but it's quite popular all the same. I think it's best when all FP rides are connected as people should have to choose rather than those in the know holding multiple FP.

However, you can spend your morning in DCA and get a FP for RSR that's for later in the day. You can hop over to Disneyland and immediately get a FP for a ride there as the two parks are not connected. And then hop back to DCA later when your FP window opens. This could work with any ride, though it only works well if your FP is a few hours or more out since it does take some time to hop between parks and walk to attractions.
