If you need to buy Disney World tickets (or Disneyland or Universal tickets), I found a bigger discount of 15% off from Viator.com and it MAY be combinable (YMMV) with the current 14% Cashback (up to $50) via RetailMeNot.

It is a referral code, but I don't make any money off of it - I just don't know of any other way to get the 15% off.

I just bought 2 MVMCP tickets for $360.25, it would have cost me $199 each plus tax through Disney's website (no discount for APs or DVC on this date). If I manage to get the $50 back from RMN, it would bring the price down to $310.25 or $155 each.

Apologies if this violates any rules - but there is no financial benefit to me, it is just the only way I have found to get the 15% off code. The code you get is unique to each person who uses the link. You need to use an email address that has not used viator.com before - recommended you use Incognito mode or clear cookies / cache before you follow the link to make sure it gives you a code immediately. It may give you an error and say it will follow up and email you a code otherwise (which it may eventually email you a code, but it should immediately give you a code back if everything works correctly).
If I already purchased NSS tickets through Disney am I basically SOL as they would say? There's no returning them to purchase through Viator is there?

Yeah unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable as far as I know. You could always try calling or contacting TripAdvisor (or whoever you bought the tickets from) to ask though.

I join in thanking FoxC63 for all her hard work and dedication to the thread. Especially in these inflationary times, finding deals is no small deal (so to speak) and I know that like many others, I have saved a fair amount from the info posted here.

BTW, the 12% code worked like a charm yesterday on the TripAdvisor app for my solo MVMCP ticket. Thanks to Liquidice for finding that one.

You are SOL for sure except if you want to save the value of your tickets for something else later on. The value doesn't expire, just keep your confirmation numbers. Then you could do the Viator deal and use the value of your ticket for another ticket purchase down the line. But I wouldn't because then it's just an interest-free loan to Disney.

It’s official, I’m retiring from the Updated Disney Gift Card thread effective immediately

There are a few reasons for my decision but the bottom line is, it’s just time.

I want to thank all of you for your help, support and patience over the years. I’ve learned a great deal and have been guided with generosity and kindness. I also want to thank you for opening up and sharing your life stories. In all honesty, I’m a better person for getting to know so many of you, so thank you for that.

I’ll still be on the DIS just no longer hosting this thread and will continue to value your friendship and trust. I wish nothing but the very best for you and your endeavors.

Take care my friends,
Thia
I've been a long time follower of this thread. I know you put in a lot of your time and effort. Can't thank you enough for all the helpful updates. My family has saved a great deal on our trips thanks to you and this thread.

You know what I used all DGCs to pay for the tickets anyway so in effect it's like I saved about 10% anyway. If I bought through Viator it would be money out of pocket so net net it's all good. Excited to be going to my first NSS.

Go see the Sanderson sisters' show in front of the castle. Get a spot early. It's a little corny but I love that show.
If it looks like it could rain at some point during the evening, go to the first show you can make it to because it won't run during rain, and even if it stops raining before the last shows of the evening, those might still not happen because the wetness makes it unsafe for the performers. The crappy part is that often they don't announce that a showing is cancelled until showtime or even after showtime--ask me how I know!

But hopefully you'll have no rain in your forecast and you won't have to worry about any of this.

Any other tips? We're going to be at the second party and it will be our first Halloween party too. We're staying at VGF so will walk over but don't want to get stuck in a huge line at 4 to go in. What time would you recommend to head over?

We usually stay at BLT and walk over. In the past we've had APs so we try to be in the park before the party starts to avoid any lines. We like having an early dinner in the outdoor area of Tony's in Town Square and watch people as they come in in costumes.

I'm guessing you won't be in the park beforehand, so I'd say the earlier the better because the line will just keep getting longer until party start time (7 pm, I think).

This is the only problem is we're staying at AKV which normally wouldn't be a problem but having a 6 yo who doesn't usually stay up very late may be an issue. BLT would've been perfect but alas didn't have enough points to stay there! Will definitely be in park early though.

Totally agree! All the time @FoxC63 has put into this forum has saved my family more money than I can count (although I could try with my spreadsheets LOL). Thanks so much for all your hard work...it's very much noticed and appreciated :)

@FoxC63 Just catching up on this thread today and wanted to add my thanks for all your efforts! I have learned and saved a lot from this thread.

Just a quick follow up that my RMN cashback at 14% did track, so I will receive an additional $50 back (my purchase was $360 and the max cashback is $50).

Target Weekly ad Valid Jul 14 - Jul 20 has been published. I don't see any gc deals. For those on the hunt for School uniforms & supplies, you might want to take a look see.
And to add on, starting next week (7/14 - 8/24) those of us who are teachers/school staff will get a target bonus coupon for 20% off one qualifying order at Target (most probably this excludes gift cards, so this is for ordering other stuff).

I really wish our only opportunity to go to the halloween party wasn't opening night. Between the higher price and the extra crowds from the bloggers and influencers it just isn't worth it.
But this is a killer deal for anyone that is going to buy them anyways.
