The cards from Disney Store also have the scannable barcode so when making purchases on MDE, like mobile ordering food or buying Genie+, you can scan it on you phone instead of typing in the card number. Very convenient.

The transportation board is all abuzz with good reviews of gearfusion these days, though I haven't tried them myself I have them booked for late fall. I found their pricing to be noticeably better than my previous go-to when traveling with family which was Tiffany's. There is a 10% off code floating around: WDWTT exp unknown. The website lists larger group options of an 11 passenger van or a slight discount on 2 suburbans for up to 13 people. They have some interesting offerings including a women and children only option (no fee) and luggage drop (for $20 they drop you at the park first and drop your luggage at your hotel and send you a pic of the claim ticket).

I am pretty sure scanning the gift card barcode with your phone only works for Mobile order (for food) and shop in store mobile checkout (for merchandise). When I bought Genie+ in May I could use a saved Credit Card or manually type in a gift card, but could not scan a gift card. It is kind of mind boggling that it is the same exact app but tie payment process doesn't work the same way.

I do like the gift cards with a barcode because of the ability to scan in the app. I've also found that more often now when CMs see your gift card has a barcode they offer to scan it too which I prefer over swiping as the magnetic strip seems to get de-magnetized sometimes.

Thanks for the confirmation! I wish they would get their stuff together and change it. Like you said, same app! Even the CM when I was checking in wished they could scan lol! It would save so much time and anxiety in the morning

Im still about as the resident UK gift card hunter. Was at Disneyland last week used the discounted Sam's club $200 card. As got family member in the states to get it for me. As so difficult to buy GC's as a non resident. Amazon is one of the only ones that lets you.
