In reference to the 10-off-150 Mastercard gift card deal at Meijer, does that work on the variable load Mastercards? Sounds like it, but often this kind of deal requires buying the "next card up" ($200 or whatever) which I've always found kinda irritating. I am not sure why companies are so fond of offering a discount on a gift card that doesn't exist.

Yes, Meijer offers variable load $500 Mastercard as well as $200 MC. Be sure to look at the fees. The recently built Meijer has the newer cards with the higher fees. The older stores carry ones with the lower fees. You can also go to CS desk to see what they have as a comparison.

Has anyone purchased an online gift card from Sams club with your 5% Discover card cash back lately. I purchased on 4/6 and still haven’t seen the money post on my cash back . Wondering if they changed and no longer allow online gift card purchase from Sam’s Club in the 5% category??
I may have to drive and hour and buy the actual card. Any info appreciated.

It won't post to your cash back balance until your statement closes for the month. However, if you click on the 5% reward tracker, it should show there.

Just finished my Target Circle Reward, I had spend $90 x3 for a $20 reward. Purchased 3 $100 DGC's with my Red Card on line and it activated the reward. Then I hit the store as I needed a couple things. Made one purchase for a total of $27.81 so it knocked off $20 then I had a $5 coupon (for the store being remodeled, had to spend $15) and finally the Red card savings for a total savings of $25.14 and a total cost of $2.72. Made a second purchase of $21.99 and had that second $5 coupon that I liberated from my parents along with the Red card savings it came to $16.37. So for the two orders I saved a total of $30.99. So the way I figure it the 3 DGC's only cost me $254.01 for about a little over 15% savings.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! It was a pretty busy week leading up to Sunday. DH (in purple sash) made it on the cover of Detroit Catholic as Simon of Cyrene for Living Stations of the Cross.



DS played John as is seen kneeling in front of Jesus wearing all blue.


We stayed caught up watching a TV series called The Chosen. Most excellent. We're looking forward to Season 3.

Combined with Discover's 5% cash back at Whole Sale clubs (or 10% if it's your first year with the card), and it's pretty sweet!

ETA: I mean the Sam's Club pricing. I don't think you can do cash app with credit cards but don't really know as I haven't used it.

I'm thankful for the spreadsheet @Sadeesmom created. It helps me see what strategies might be possible while comparing with other stores.

The latest is that Shopkick is not longer working on gift cards at Sam's Club which alters the Strategy.

Did you see it checked off your progress immediately? I have a $110 x 3 and bought a $200 gift card ( I need an AP by Thursday lol) but it's not checked off as a qualified purchase yet. I wasn't sure of the rules anyway. I just hopped over here real quick and thought I'd give it a whirl.
