Did you see it checked off your progress immediately? I have a $110 x 3 and bought a $200 gift card ( I need an AP by Thursday lol) but it's not checked off as a qualified purchase yet. I wasn't sure of the rules anyway. I just hopped over here real quick and thought I'd give it a whirl.

Thanks
It didn't check off until the e-gift card was delivered which was anywhere from 2-5 min after purchase. Of course it does say it can take up to 4 hours to deliver.

Follow up question... can I do all three transactions in 1 day? Thank you so much for your time!

Be sure to check your locations as mine are all Permanently Closed!

Yes you can. I would buy one and then once I got it I would go to the DGC site and combine it with another card and then buy next one. Took me less the 25 min to buy all 3 and combine them. The $20 reward posted right away.

Thanks. Remember I'm not a member so I don't know the prices nor what is OOS.

I'm thankful for the spreadsheet @Sadeesmom created. It helps me see what strategies might be possible while comparing with other stores.

The latest is that Shopkick is not longer working on gift cards at Sam's Club which alters the Strategy.

The $200 card for $185 was Sam's Black Friday deal last year.

Yes, I remember posting the offer...

Do you know what price was before or after?
After it sold out, I believe it was just listed as $185 for the $200 gift card and remained sold out until it finally has disappeared from their website or it was listed as Sold out with no price mentioned like it is now ... https://www.samsclub.com/p/disney-200-value-egift-card/P03011690

I didn't check it religiously, but when I had checked, I never saw it in stock again after Black Friday. Before Black Friday, the $200 gift card was not listed.

The $200 card is not usually for sale either online or in store. In my experience, it only shows up for special offers. I've been buying Disney gift cards at Sam's to finance my trips for about 15 years now.

This is what I was after. So easy to read.

Thank you for clarifying, I never knew the $200 DGC was a limited time offer. I always thought it was something Sam's kept in stock, kind of like the $100 PetSmart gift cards. Those would come and go but I believe they too are no longer being sold.

My mind is going a bit south. I bought WDW Annual Passes at Sam's Club on 6/20/19.
Overnight & without warning, WDW significantly increased the cost on all AP's, here's the original thread

Sam's Club price was cheaper than WDW's, each AP cost $992.28 with tax, and include Park Hopper & Memory Maker but not Water Parks. I bought 6 of them.

This fall we'll be using them for the first time and I'm learning some things have changed at WDW.

As of today...
Room Only reservation can not be made 500 days in advance.
Parking is now free for AP holders.
I'm still learning about the Park Reservation System, it sounds like we won't be needing to do that anymore. Maybe. IDK yet, still trying to figure that out.

Anyway, we're also planning to drive down in May 2024 with the pups in tow. So excited about that!
And to complete the year, we'll be taking a fall trip in mid October.

The Ugly, the very very ugly.
Because I purchased AP's from Sam's Club, which I don't regret, I've NEVER been able to see AP room discounts, which frustrated the heck out of me and it wasn't just me. ANYONE who bought them from Sam's and didn't activate them had the same issue. You can read all about it in the link above.

Not sure why Disney chose to TARGET us.
Shame on you Disney!

Can't help with the rest of that, but as an AP holder you do still have to make park reservations. EXCEPT after 2pm, you can enter any park without a reservation whether or not you have already entered a park that day (which differs from the park hopper rule).

For now right? I read here on the DIS that the system is going to change and I was told tonight by a CM that during my Fall trip it will be a thing of the past for AP holders.

Did the CM tell me wrong?

That's the current rule in place. I would plan accordingly and make them until there's a new official announcement out.
There's all kinds of rumors floating around right now. And I'm sure you've been around long enough to know that ask 3 CM's the same question and get 3 different answers. LOL Better to make them and have them become obsolete than to need them and not have made them. (I've personally heard that there's no change coming until 2024, but again I would take any rumors with a large grain of salt - even when they come from CMs.)

I was just going to add that! Got taken away with the new Office Depot/Max offer. I did make my park reservations already.

About the other stuff, the CM's I've spoken with over the years have been wonderful, even apologetic that I can't see AP room discounts. A few have stayed on the line with me after connecting to IT asking them to try this & that but to no avail. It's like being discriminated. In fact, that's exactly what it is. I'm not one to yell, Let's sue the s$!T out of them! I've written to the big cheese twice. No response. That's why we've been staying at Universal. I do miss Disney but they sure don't make me feel welcomed.

I remember that giant price hike! The cost of a new AP was cheaper than the renewal and I also purchased some.

Are the vouchers already linked to you in MDE? I have seen some people still able to access AP rates and even get AP email with only vouchers. Some even register for AP events like ride previews (must be another weird Disney IT glitch). You can always call and have the phone CM book the AP rate for you once the packages are released for next year.

As for the park reservations, could the phone CM be confusing the "visit the theme parks after 2 pm without needing a park reservation" change @beldred mentioned? That doesn't go in effect until 4/18 so unless WDW changes something else, that will be current for your fall trip. There is also an exception with MK on Sat and Sun still needing a park pass reservation.

Saw this on the news tonight...

Federal officials are again warning travelers to avoid using public USB charging stations — often found in airports, hotels or other travel hubs — because the docks can be altered to introduce malware or tracking software onto personal devices.

The vouchers were linked the same day I purchased them.
I know some people were able to see prices however, they had an active AP or one that was nearing the end. Once they had the window open and added their voucher from Sam's the window stayed open. This was confirmed on the DIS.

For those who never had an AP or didn't have one in a while, the window was not open.

Huh, I'm pretty sure she said AP holders wouldn't have to worry about Park reservations in the fall. I know our conversation was all over the place, but I'm pretty sure that's what she said. I do agree with @beldred we've been told wrong things before. I was on the phone tonight for over an hour.

It's been awhile since I used my CashApp at Sam's Club.... guess you can only use a boost one time a day now.
