Updated Disney Gift Card Deals and More

@miztressuz,

I noticed on DH accounts, Discover & Amex he listed 0 for income.
Could this be the reason he never gets offers?
He gets the standard offers from Amex. but he never gets Targeted offers that go above and beyond.
I'm not sure, I haven't actually heard any chatter about that. I apply for AmEx cards semi-regularly so that keeps my income in the profile up to date. But I'm not targeted very much so hard to say if that has much bearing! Discover I think they have a dart board. I have heard some people finding offers on their account by calling in. Not sure if it's worth the effort for small offers but they don't seem to be great about always communicating it.

That said, it can't hurt to keep that info updated. Could be that the info goes stale and refreshing it might trigger some marketing. As a general theme, CC issuers seem to like activity - signs that you're actively engaged with their products. It's not a sure thing, but worth a try.

What about shopkick? Anyone have news/updates?

Disney Gift Card Deals ONLY
Strategies
  • $400 Disney gift cards for $334.05
shopKick has been excluding gift card purchases while previously they had specifically included them. The last time I made a purchase via shopKick it did not track.

Thoughts on this deal?

Cash App has 5% Boost (discounts your purchase instantly when you use your Cash App card) on Sam's Club purchases - Max $20 discount per day
Combine with ShopKick 20 Kicks per $1.00 spent at Sam's Club online (gift cards ARE explicitly included).

Buy 4x$75 Physical Disney Gift Card Packs (3x$25 is what you get) and 2x$50 Disney eGCs = $383.88 (unfortunately due to a limit of 2 GC types per transaction, you can't just do 8x$50 Disney eGCs). There are 3 different types of $75 Disney Gift cards so you can easily purchase 4 of them.

With the Cash App, 5% back instantly, you pay $364.69 out of pocket or roughly 8.8% off face value.

With shopKick, you will earn 7660 kicks, which won't be available for 90 days - but theoretically are worth $30.64 (although if you use them to purchase Disney Gift Cards, it must be in a $25 denomination - but you can buy Amazon gift cards in as little as $5 denominations).

If you assume the shopKicks are as good as cash (even though I know they're not), you'd pay $334.05 for $400 worth of gift cards or 16.4% off face value.

Probably not as good as a 15% RetailMeNot CashBack for shopDisney (assuming you get it), but a guaranteed 8.8% off face value plus a potential bonus of another 7.6% back that can be used to buy more Disney Gift cards or Amazon gift cards seems pretty good to me!

tldr; $334.05 equivalent paid for $400 worth of Disney Gift Cards through Sam's Club with Cash App Boost and shopKick "cash back".

Thank you.

Thank you for posting this! Follow-up question (and I apologize because I’m fairly sure I’ve read the answer to this on this thread but I don’t remember when and can’t seem to relocate it.) If I buy a $100 apple gift card using my target red card will that count towards one of my $100 target circle trips this month (my offer is $100 x 4 for $30.) or do I have to buy more than $100 because of the 5% off?

Thanks again! I love this thread! It has revolutionized my target shopping. :)
You can purchase exactly $100, my offer was 3x $100 for $30 so I did 3 DGC transactions. Note that you won't see the purchase trigger toward your circle offer until the GC has been issued if it's an e-gift card.

Slightly off-topic question. However, we've learned a lot about the Target redcard, and Circle rewards through this forum, so this is the first place I thought of to ask our question.
Both my wife and I have our own Circle accounts in order to get as many offers as possible. If one of us opens a Redcard account, can we use it with the other's circle account? Or is it tied to just one circle account?
In other words, let's say that it's my wife's redcard. Can I use it to get 5% off my purchase, and activate my circle offers when using my circle account?
I assume that it acts like a normal 5x cash back credit when shopping at Target, and therefore we should be able to use it to make purchases through both of our circle accounts. However, I'm not certain that it isn't somehow "tied" to just one circle account.
I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

You can to an extent. When it come to purchasing gift cards for example, no matter which Circle account is used, the moment you place an order with the Redcard the offer cannot be used on the other Circle account. The second order will simply be denied.
There might also be more limitations.

And yes, your wife's Redcard is tied to her Circle account.
Her Name & Address, it doesn't matter that the emails are different.

Since your wife has a Redcard, why not get your own?

Thanks for the info.

It seems like it will make the most sense to open my own account in order to avoid future complications.

We were trying to avoid having 2 redcard accounts just for the sake of simplicity. We don't like to be redundant with most things in our lives, and that goes especially for "financial products."

You can have a joint redcard account. My husband and my dd have cards on my Redcard account.

Yes, and they can buy GC on their Target Circle account without issue as the last four digits are different.
