Last year around Black Friday, I got 10 percent back through Honey on ShopDisney. I was able to buy a $500 gift card and got that back. A couple days later I saw that Rakuten had 15 percent off at ShopDisney on Rakuten and I got it back on a $250 card. If those deals come up again, I'd like to do the same.
So here's my question. My $500 card was stolen after delivery. Disney replaced it, but I have a hunch they'd think twice if it happened again. So I'm thinking electronic gift card is better. Is there any reason to think the deals that worked on physical cards in the past wouldn't work on the electronic gift cards?
I tried that, but I ended up having to clear the cookies and then log in again.
It came right up for me when I searched for disney GCs...I was able to buy 2-$100 and a 3 pk of $50 cards with no problem.
Just the 50th ones? That's kind of crazy.I ordered an e gift card thru rakuten when they had 11% off on Friday. I was told the 50th anniversary ones get paid out, so that’s what I ordered. So far, it’s still tracking.![]()

Edit: It also limits me to 5 of the $500 cards.
How are you able to use Apply Pay on the website? It's only giving me debit, credit, or Paypal. I'd like to be able to use Apple Pay to get my 5% from Discover. For BJ's :
The $100 for $93.99 the "best" deal in terms of minimizing combining gift cards I think.
The $25 for $23.49 is 6.04% off ($281.88 for $300)
The $50 for $46.99 is 6.02% off ($281.94 for $300)
The $100 for $93.99 is 6.01% off ($281.97 for $300)
The $150 for $140.99 is 6.0006% off ($281.98 for $300)
The $500 for $472.99 is 5.402% off (This is the worst deal)
Technically the best deal off is the $25 card but it requires the most effort to combine.
If you're using the Discover 5% off $1500 (one of the few sites I found that allows you to buy using Apple Pay on the website - so you still get Cashback) and buying $1500 in cards - you'd save 50 cents by buying the $25 cards but have to do 4 times the work to combine them. While if you buy the $150 cards (which are 3x$50 card) you'd spend double the amount of work to combine them and spend 5 cents more.
If RMN pays out, plus Discover and BJs discount you'd get roughly 15.4% off of the face value so long as you don't do the $500 card (then it'd be 14.86% off)
I was able to add 8 $100 gc to my cart. I didn't try to buy that many, but it let me add them. When I tried to do 6 $500 gc, I got a note saying there was a max number allowed.Again, my apologies, I'm not a BJ's member
Are all DGC limited to 5? And would this be per day?
The $500 have a limit of 5. The $100 have a limit of 99 at a time but I was able to place more than one order to get what I needed. I hope that helps.Again, my apologies, I'm not a BJ's member

How were you able to use Apply Pay? I'm not seeing that as an option at checkout. My BJ's score today, 20.77% if RMN pays out, 16.07% if they don't.
$525 Disney Gift Cards:
5 $100 DGCs
1 $25 DCG
Total: $493.44
Paid with my:
$500 Hy-Vee MasterCard, cost $470 and purchased with Discover/Apple Pay 5% off
Savings based on purchase price of $470 for MC and $493.44 for DGCs:
Apple Pay: $23.19
Hy-Vee: $29.61
BJ's: $31.56
RMN: $24.67
Total Savings = $109.03 with RMN, $84.36 without
Not too shabby!
I had the same problem a couple of years ago with BJs.Just a heads up on the physical DGCs from BJs- check them as soon as you get them. I bought a bunch of $500 ones last year and several arrived unactivated. BJs did refund my money (they said they could not activate the cards I had and would not send new ones, refund was the only option), but it was a pain. There wasn't a rhyme or reason (that I could see) to the ones that arrived unactivated- I bought $5k in DGC over about 6 weeks and some orders arrived totally fine and others had 1 or 2 cards unactivated.
Thanks for the info. So Rakuten would record the shopping trip but then not actually pay out? Sounds like a crap shoot. But nice to know that info going in. I just assumed it would work since it worked for me last year.Thank you @focusondisney , @BruinEd03 and @Liquidice
for the BJ's Disney GC info. I'll update the posts!
Honestly I don't think you would have any issues with buying a physical gc, even if it gets stolen again. To answer your question, some have posted egift cards worked with cb websites.
Note, a few peeps recently posted rakuten did not payout as usual for them, where as others still have had no issues.
How long will BJ's have these prices?
