For the past three weeks I've been dreaming about this blue house sitting on top of a hill and with each dream I learned more about it and the land.
This is the exact image I see in my dreams. The exterior is smooth and seamless making the front door almost invisible.
Those little grey slits are windows, the front of the house is the same in the back and the sides have two windows each. The front door doesn't have a door knob, instead you place your hand anywhere on the left side of the door and it automatically opens.
Once inside there's a handle to use to close the door. When you position the handle at 9 o'clock, a three bolt system locks the door and when you crank the handle down, two wooden beams barricade the door through an intricate clock like mechanism.
The interior looks like a standard log home with an open loft vibe. The main stairs lead to the bedrooms; master bedroom on the left followed by bedroom #2, full bath in the middle and further down the hall is bedroom #3. The two bedrooms have murphy beds and built in cabinetry. There is a second set of stairs leading to the roof but I haven't been up there.
As you go back down the main stairs the front door is facing you, the kitchen & dining area is on the left and the large family room is to the right. And under the stairs is a hideaway of some sort, I didn't get to see it that well.
Again the house sits on a hill, sun faces the house in the am and sunset is in the back. The views are very picturesque, dense forest of pines, maples, oaks, and walnuts create the property line but the land itself is barren. Dreams later, it take on a new shape with tiered landscaping/retaining walls to prevent soil erosion and runoff.

The top level has grass leading up to the house, two lower levels for a vegetable garden and below that fruit trees like apples and cherries. And at the very bottom of the hill is a stream or pond. I heard the water trickling.
Okay, when DH got back from his trip, I told him about these dreams and he asks,
Why would you want to build a house like that, it sounds like a prison.
