Just double checking - with both Sams or BJs - buying those cards online means a card gets mailed is that correct? I was looking to make a purchase at Disney tomorrow and was checking to see if any of the gift cards were emailed so that I could use them right away.

Thanks for this thread - super helpful.
Sams has e-gift options. Target also does e-gift options and you'll get the 5% RedCard discount if you have a RedCard debit or cc

I want to take the opportunity to say the following to @FoxC63 - Mind. Blown. What an amazing job you have done on this thread with the organization and deals. I just want you to know you have my utmost appreciation for what you have put together here. I’m a regular on the credit card thread. Never could follow or keep up with the previous gift card thread. Imagine my surprise to see such a beautifully organized place to learn about the deals and save. So thank you for the time and effort you have given to this thread and the budget board community!
Couldn't of said this better myself.
@FoxC63 can't thank you enough for the amount of time you take to coordinate all this. It is soooo much easier to look at the first page, instead of scrolling through 100's of posts.

I thought this thread was a huge improvement over the previous thread, but now with the first post having Disney Gift Card only deals it is even better! Thanks @FoxC63 really appreciate you consolidating all of this data to help us out! I found out and was really excited about the (now expired) BJs Volume discount and took advantage of it!

Hope that in Q2 when Discover has 5% back that BJs has another Volume discount!

Has anyone seen a current deal on Uber gift cards? I blew it on Saturday and forgot to get to Walgreens to get them for my upcoming trip to Florida so I'm looking for a Plan B. Worst case scenario, I can get them at Target, using my Redcard, but I'd like to get a better deal if I can.

@FoxC63. This looks great. Thank you for taking group feedback into account.

Please, I greatly appreciate the support but we need to focus on the topic without being over the top. I opened up the topic for discussion and no one should be attacked here.

Let's focus and move forward.

@bbsearchlight Post #404 "the deals for happy gift cards only occur in November and December. I don't remember seeing any happy card deals from January thru November of last year. " I believe she's referring to stacking offers, which she did at BBB via rebate.

@erc Post #420 "Maybe the very first post on this thread should be the best current offers on simply buying Disney Gift cards. And maybe broken down by how much you are looking for. Because some of the offers have limits. So if I am looking for $3,000 in gift cards some of the offers would not be the best. It would be more work, but maybe someone would find fun in doing that." I get some of this but not all of it. I can make the first post about DGC's. Though I'm stumped on how to do the breakdown based on the current offers. Most CC offers are targeted and have limits. Obtaining $3,000 is more of a bulk buy and currently BJ's offer is no longer valid. Again, based on current offers how does someone go about getting $3,000 in DGC?

@erc Post #422 "I can use an example from slickdeals. I was looking for a Nintendo Switch deal before Christmas." I get the reference with slickdeals as I've posted a few deals there myself. Based on current offers, do you see any that can be done in the same manner? Anyone? Personally, I don't see it. So, @erc why don't you figure it out and post it. I'll add it to the Main Page on Post #1.

@afan Post #432 "Wow! The reactions on this thread are unexpected. I thought the budget board was a place we could voice our opinions and not get jusged, attacked or mocked. We're all entitled to our own opinions without these type of reactions. "
I agree. I meant it whole hardheartedly that this is a community thread and we should work together. Many apologies to anyone feeling crushed.

Thank you! For your compassionate response & the amazing new first post.

EXPIRED - Voting has concluded

Community Question - Voting ends Monday, February 3rd

Would you like me to keep the Expired BJ's January Volume Discount information up or delete it?
Thumbs Up to keep it
Sad Face to delete it

Here's the results and Thumbs Up wins! I will slightly modify the BJ's January Volume Discount to prevent confusion.

Just catching up...it's been a long day.

I think for some this is part of it. This thread seems very structured with one or two people posting most of the stuff. The ladt thread had the community abd the conversation about deals and how they work. We've lost that that part and while some didn't like having to wade through evetything you had people posting about how they did x or y and now it's just a post.about the deal.

Now I'm not saying either way is better as they both have their advantages but I do miss the conversation but also realize it's a slow time of year for deals.

@afan makes an excellent point. Just because we have the Main Posts doesn't mean it's time to stop posting about your success or fails. We learn so much from each other.

For the Chase offers, what Chase credit card usually has these? We just got a Sapphire card, but I have not seen (or haven’t figured out where to look) any of the offers listed?

Thank you.
Sorry, did not mean to leave you hanging. While rushing to create Post #1 I inadvertently left out information but it has been corrected. I did not see any offers for Sapphire. As far as Chase Offers, I had to sign up for it and get them through my email. The other is through the app. You can read more about that here:

I have no clue where you are or what store you shop at so I'm going to give you all options, good luck and I hope one works out for you!

For some reason, I never get emails from BJ's. So, I always miss out on the deals. Grr. (Yes, I've checked the spam folder)

Does anyone else have trouble with this?

Does anyone know how frequently they have the deals on SW Airlines?
I have never gotten an email from Bj's, despite having bought thousands of $$$ worth of gc from them for the last several years. Thankfully the good people on this thread keep us posted!!

If you were to buy a Disney Package through Costco would you qualify for Discover 5% CB during the 2nd Qtr.?
That would be an awesome discount - but now that I think about it I think it tracks as something else. I believe last time it excluded the Travel section and the Services section.

I purchased e-gift cards from Sam's and they got delivered within an hour - but be aware that they only allow 2 e-gift cards per membership.

Sams has e-gift options. Target also does e-gift options and you'll get the 5% RedCard discount if you have a RedCard debit or cc
Just a head's up - I bought 2 cards from Sam's (one in Jan and one yesterday) and when I tried to get another e-card it did not let me. Says it is 2 per member, I thought it was per transaction :crazy2:

Wow, only 2 e-gift cards per member at Sam's?! Grrr! I thought it was 2 per selection, as in different amounts like 2 - $100 and 2 - $150. Is there a limit when buying in-store?

BTW, did you buy $500 e-gift cards?

So funny story about Kroger fuel points. I went over the weekend, got myself 1,000 points. Woohoo. I only got $100 Disney card though. The rest I spread around. My thought is any money that I am not spending at this store, that gas station, this restaurant is money that goes back into my pocket for my Disney trip. So, either way, I'm good.

But, here's the thing. We don't have a Kroger fueling station in our town. The nearest one is an hour and a half away. So, the whole everyone fill up thing rarely happens, unless we happen to be somewhere with a Kroger Fuel at the same time and we all drove separate vehicles. It happens maybe once a year. BUT, what happens there is either A) I just pay for everyone's gas, because I am nice like that or B) They pay me back for their gas. In which case, technically THEY are getting the price break, and it's not something I could consider toward my savings.

Even better, I drive a Prius. So, a fill-up for me is around 8-10 gallons. So, essentially, I am saving $8-10. Which is like 4%. Not complaining, but certainly not the 14% it has the potential to be.

Still, I do it anyway. I still get a thrill from it. I figure I am spending money at all these places. Might as well get cheap gas out of it.

American Airlines Launches SimplyMiles (AmEx Offers for All Airline Members – Works On Any Mastercard) Link

You no longer need a cobranded American Airlines credit card to use SimplyMiles. So long as you have an AA miles account and a Mastercard, you can make use of the program.
  • Earn 1,000 miles after spending $45+ at CVS
  • Earn 150/500 miles for spending $50+ at Walgreens
This is still in its infancy stage much like this thread  and as the deals become smooth transactions I can see potential offers and will list them accordingly. I wonder if the miles are transferable.

Does anyone know if there is a limit for how many Delta gift cards you can use on a transaction? I know Southwest is or used to be 2.

We used 3 per transaction in one phone call and bought 3 tickets.

Crap, I'm tired. Did that make sense?
