Yeah I figured. I don’t have my discover with me down here. And I also tried buying through target to get the 5% and fulfill my rewards but it’s asking me for the full target card number! I didn’t bring that either! I only have a day left anyway to use gift cards so it’s fine but I really dropped the GC ball on this trip!

I know of them, but I know I have none near me. But I probably would only be interested in going if they carried Japanese short grain rice. Regular Costcos near me only carry medium grain or long grain rice. I cook rice most days since I bought myself a Japanese rice cooker - it makes it so easy and it cooks it better than I ever did on the stovetop.
Utah has a business center and a regular Costco in one building. Biggest Costco in the country and it’s amazing .

We have a small Japanese market near us, but rice isn’t priced well. So we drive to Mitsuwa in NJ twice a year to stock up - plus the food court there is pretty good. They also have a small shop that makes fresh taiyaki and a Japanese pastry shop. We spend way too much when we go down there.
The IL business center is right next to the Vehicle Emissions Testing Center so I've gone a couple times when I got my emissions tested. Its definitely a different experience--I like to make a double batch of chili in the winter so I appreciate being able to buy a giant can of tomato sauce but other than that everything is just weird there.Oh, just got back from Costco Business Center in Southfield MI.
It opened on January 25, 2024. It's not like our regular Costco, there's no gas, no bakery, no food court, no clothing, no electronics, no jewelry, no pharmacy, etc.
What they did have was large bags 25-50 pounds of dry beans; garbanzo, red kidney, black beans. Very little organic dry goods, frozen and fresh produce.
The Southfield location has a very nice selection of grass fed meats and frozen wild caught sockeye salmon.
The meat was in a walk in freezer. It was so darn cold DH and I had to take breaks just to warm up!It was pretty hot here so we were in shorts and linen shirts. Omg, sooo cold! Now we'll be prepared when we go back.
We also took a large cooler and filled it with igloo ice blocks.Yup, I was planning on buying a lot of meat for canning.
It was a good trip.
I’m picturing an alien planet version of Costco now…
Totally off topic but we have an extended family vacation home in the mountains (owned by 3 uncles/dads, also used by the dad's 2 adult kids each). My husband really wants a cargo e-bike (we're happy to pay for it) and this has blown up into a ridiculous discussion. Cranky Uncle has now deemed we may have a bike if a) we pay for it b) it is never ever allowed inside c) everyone can use it.
I don't know if this is hype or not, but in New York City where e-bikes are extremely popular, there have been numerous building fires caused by the batteries in them catching fire. In fact, most apartment buildings now ban them from being brought anywhere inside the building.
