I would like to meet some of you ladies so I don't feel so out of the loop in Feb. but our family trip was planned before I realized you were all going to be there in October. We leave Sat morning, just as most of you are getting there

Are there any plans on Thursday 22nd? The Happiest Haunts Tour is listed but it sounds like no one is doing it this year. Friday looks pretty full because of the luncheon and the party at night(we have Wed tix)

If you are planning any group rides or shows Thurs or Fri do you might if I join in?

Hey Angie! We will be there on Thursday mid-afternoon. We'll be going to Blue Bayou for dinner. The parks close early (at 9 p.m.) and I know some of us were thinking about meeting for drinks at the lounge in the Grand. Jesse and I would love to meet up with you. What are you doing in the evening on Thursday? We're also going to spend Friday a.m. in DCA, so we could meet up there if you want (before the luncheon)......

Well I think we should. Maybe meet before the gates open? Decide on something we all might want to go and do together first? Then go our ways or whatever. I would just like to see us all meet up at least once since there is going to be so many of us. Would be a great time to get some pics.

I think it's a good idea to meet for a group before the gates open. With so many people and kids of different ages, I don't think it's realistic that everyone will stay together. I know Jesse is interested in rides, rides, candy, rides, rides, maybe more candy. He doesn't give a fig about standing in line for pictures with characters or getting autographs. He's a teen, so it's all about rides and candy

Oh do you need to bring your own bag to TOT?

They do give you a bag and it holds TONS of candy (did you see the pics from last year ). I think Tracey has a good idea with the backpack though because have you ever tried to hold a bag of candy that does not close at the top while you're on the Tower of Terror??? Not good!

Hello! I will be there Wed night, and Thurs night and would love to meet up with anyone that is there. I won't help out with feeling comfortable in Feb though because I am not making that trip But I was there last year and can reassure you a bit

I understand that they give you a bag for TOT, but I will be bringing my backpack when I go on Oct 8th because I hate to have things in my hands. Especially when I have a little guy along that I need my hands to control and direct I will report back after the party though to let you know how necessary a backpack was.

Tracey - we'll be there on Thursday evening, so we should meet up! I *think* some of use are meeting for drinks after the park closes........

We are coming in Thur as well but kind of late. We don't even leave Sac till like 7 I think and get to OC around 8 I believe. Plus we will have the kids with us but it would still be fun to meet up. I guess it is just going to depend on how late we get there and how tired everyone is. Maybe I can get Shane and the girls to stay in the room and I can come meet you guys.

We don't make any plans for the evening usually. Thursday night would work great, if they kids are too tired my Dh will have no problem taking them to the room so I can go for drinks.

Ok, from reading the responses it seems like everyone is up for meeting as a group before the gates open. Gates open at 7:30 right? How early should we be lining up to get in? Someone what to help out with time?

Place - I imagine all the letters will be packed with groups. So maybe if we decide to meet smack dab in the middle between the two parks. That way we have plenty of room for pics and we can't be missed.

We'll be getting in on Wednesday afternoon, I think in the 4:00 hour. I'll have a whole group with me, but the more, the merrier! I'm also up for drinks on Thursday evening, so please keep me in the loop on that! And don't forget that on Wednesday night, we're heading to Fullerton to see that hunk 'o man!!! I've had a couple of people express interest, but I'll get a real list going as we get closer.

Kaitlyn and I were going to take the train down on Friday, but it doesn't arrive in Anaheim until 11:49, and by the time we transfer and get our luggage out of the way, I'm thinking we will be too late. So maybe, I'm going to be driving after all.

So what is everyone dressing up as?

So far I am thinking just shirts for us.
My current crew will be DBF~ Laramie, DS13 Jordan & DS9 Kaeleb.
HOWEVER, Jordan must earn his way on this vacation. He has been such a teenager that in order for him to go his grades must be good, no back talking and such things that teenagers do. So far....he is barely able to go.
So I am going to be the "Mean" mom and probably end up leaving him home. But I am not going to reward him for such bad behavior. I dunno what happened he turned 13 and it all went to hell.......

But anywhos the rest of the family will have fun.

I am so excited!! I am ordering the tickets on Monday.

Yay! I can hardly wait to be 'screamin'! and and I just have to work out the part where someone I trust waits at the bottom of the ride with DS. I am so looking forward to this trip!

We will likely get in around 1pm on Thursday and I would totally be up for meeting up for some "late night" fun and drinks that night. I also want to meet up with my ride buddy Tracey so that we can power our way around the parks before she has to take off!!!

As for Friday night, I think that Stacie's idead of meeting in the "dead" center (get it???) of the Esplanade could work. The other spot that might work out is over by the DCA lost and found/guest relations area (to the far left of the letters) since it might not be as crowded over there.

My family's agenda will be very similiar to Kelly's--trick or treating and meeting characters/doing the special photo opps that are only available during the party. We did mostly that stuff last year, in fact I don't think we rode a single ride, since Ty is so character crazy. Actually, as I look back on it, I think we spent over half the party in line to meet Mickey and Minnie. I'm not sure I want to do that again, but since we are going as Mickey, Minnie and Pete, we just might have to.
