UPDATED Candlelight Processional anyone interested in Dec 4???

I have been debating back and forth now about booking the CP on the 4th with the dinner but didn't want to eat by myself. I can go and just wait and try to get seated but thought I'd throw this out and see if anyone wanted to join me before I make my final decision. I was going to shoot for the 5pm show.

While we would love to do the Candlelight Processional with someone else, we don't usually do the package, because of the costs, and there is plenty of seating this time of year. What I wanted to let you know, though is there are no 5 pm shows on Mon., Tue. and Wed. nights. There are only two shows at 6:45 and 8:15 pm.
And while I'm bearing bad news, just found out that Roy Disney has cancelled his CP appearance, and been replaced by Edward James Olmos. Sorry!

Hang on Jeff - I might have to think about this again now if there isn't a 5pm show. I hadn't looked at Deb's site in a few weeks and I didn't know there wasn't going to be a 5pm show. This might change my plans (drat!!!!) but maybe not. Let me see!!!!

I was thinking about the Garden Grill which is Tier 1 I believe.

Deb's site says there are only no 5pm shows on December 1. I will call tomorrow to verify this and post as soon as I can!!!!

We might want to do tier II, so we can eat at the Askerhaus - we liked their buffet last time, would you consider upgrading?

The Norway restaurant (Akershus) is Tier 1 ... according to Deb's site. But any tier is fine with me!

Kelli is right, Askerhaus is Tier 1. So Tier I is FINE by me.

Now, do we all want to do Garden Grill or Askerhaus? I've eaten at both places, but not eaten at the Garden Grill at all yet (I know, gasp).

What is the general consensus? And were we eating before or after the show?

Ok gang...here's the scoop.

I called Disney about an hour ago and yes, there is a 5pm show on December 4 BUT....

There are no tier 1 or tier 2 places to eat. I really don't want to eat at a tier 3 but if that's an option then I'll do it. DH said to keep calling, even the day I arrive and see if there any cancellations. But I wouldn't know how to get ahold of you all. So...do you all just want to hang out with me in the General Admission line to see if we can get seats or do you want me to keep trying for us all or what would you like me to do? I'd love for all of us to get to do this together if possible but there just isn't anyplace for us to eat at this moment. Remember that these places will be booked high because they will get the people from the 5pm show and then the people eating before the 6:45 or 8:15 shows, but probably more for the 5pm show.

With Kim it won't be that hard cause we are rooming together but just let me know what you'd like me to try and do. Thanks

What if we ate before the 5:00 pm show? That would be a pretty early meal, but it is an idea. I don't mind the 3 tier, if anyone wants to do that. I've never been to Akershus, I've always wanted to try it.

I don't mind the general admission line. I will go with the concensus.

The problem with eating before the show and doing the general admission line is that we'd need to be getting in line at line 3:30 or 4, so that's a very early dinner.

With regards to Tier III, I guess if that is the choice we have we'd prefer that over general admission- just simply to have the dinner package and have the better seating in the theater and eating after the show....I guess my choice for restraunts at Tier III would be Canada or France...

Is a different night better/possible? Like the 5th? I don't know what other meets/etc are going on, so I'm not sure.

I have done a double check on my finances and a tier 3 will not be possible for me. So I guess I'm out of it and will go and stand in the general admission line. The reason why I'm doing the 4th is because I already have something going on the 5th (I think that is the day that we are doing DATW) and I want to see John Tesh.

So if you all want to do the dinner package - it's up to you now. Sorry. I could handle a tier 1 and maybe a 2 but after looking at things last night after I posted this, a tier 3 just is not doable for me. Sorry.

I've got ressies for my family, Kim, and Chris. There wasn't a table big enough for all of us, and I talked with Kelli about making her own separate ressie...If they can't squeze us at the same table, she can sit next to us.
