Trevor had managed to get a fastpass for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, so he was planning to head back that way.
Halloween banners!
It was sprinkling so there were a BUNCH of characters underneath that walkway there. Trevor didn't stop to meet them but he took some pictures:
Peter and Wendy
Flynn and Rapunzel!
Ariel and Eric
And in breaking the tradition of the couples -
Jasmine by herself.
As Trevor started heading back towards 20000 Leagues, the rain had driven down some of the lines so he stopped and got some Black Pepper popcorn cause that's one of his favorite flavors ('cause he's weird).
The timestamp between that last picture of Jasmine and this popcorn picture is 5 minutes, so definitely no lines!
Pretty quickly he was there in Mysterious Island, heading for 20000 Leagues. Such a bummer Journey to the Center of the Earth was closed but 20000 Leagues is still pretty neat.
There was basically no wait in the fastpass line, so 3 minutes later he was boarding - and he got the front row!
He took several clips that I just put together. This is such an interesting ride to me - I'd be super curious to see it from outside the ride vehicles, like if there's a breakdown or something.
Anyways! After the ride, it was a bit before 4 pm and there was supposed to be a boat going around the harbor with some characters on it for Halloween, so Trevor headed that way. But when he got there it was still raining so he asked a cast member if the show would be running and they said no, so instead he headed towards the Tower of Terror cause it was posting a short wait. He had good timing - he was a few hundred feet away from it when they made the official announcement over the loudspeaker, and so ended up being ahead of the large crowd that had gathered to watch the show, for whatever way they would disperse.
Such a neat lobby. Different from the US Tower of Terrors but still cool.
And of course, Joe Rhode in stained glass.
And Joe Rohde in oil.
Less than 10 minutes later, he was in the pre-show room with that creepy idol thing.
Still no idea how they make the idol disappear - it's such a neat effect in person!
You know that this version of the ride is tamer than the ones at the US parks cause Trevor rode it willingly and by himself.
At this point I don't know that Trevor had a plan, but he rode the electric railway towards the back of the park.
It was still raining but lightly enough that Trevor hadn't broken out his poncho.
When he arrived at the other end, he decided to ride Aquatopia. There was basically no wait (cause again, rain). I'll tell you Aquatopia wouldn't have been my first choice in the rain but it looks cool!
It definitely looks cool as its starting to get dark.
After the ride, he kept walking towards Fantasy Springs, taking some pictures of the theming and the river on the way:
C-3PO!
Fantasy Springs at Night - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 9)
Back in Fantasy Springs it was dark enough that the rockwork was all lit up:
So pretty!
It was about 5 pm, and his Frozen fastpass wasn't until just before 7 pm, so he took some pictures in the gift shop for me (merch! ) and then headed over to his hotel to see his room and I dunno, rest for a bit/get out of the rain (I asked Trevor and he doesn't remember. ) Guys, when he got to the hotel, his room was THE EXACT SAME ROOM we stayed in back in May. Which is kind of crazy honestly - what are the odds? So no room pictures - you'll have to be content with these from May and then this nighttime view:
But, he did have this nice little card on his pillow!
It's only about the size of a business card, but how cute!
90 minutes later, he went back into Fantasy Springs. Seriously, we booked him this hotel mostly cause we weren't sure how busy the parks would be and wanted to make sure he could buy park tickets and for Happy Entry, but being able to use the Fantasy Springs entrance was also a delightful perk. I wish they'd just open it up to everyone but *shrugs*. Anyways!
The next picture Trevor took is from inside the Frozen queue, past the fastpass merge point, at 7 pm on the dot:
DisneySea does have a thing for stairs and bridges in their queues.
Queue theming!
By 7:04, Trevor was on the ride:
He didn't take any pictures or video on the ride, just enjoyed it.
At that point, he was hungry and ready to eat at our favorite place in DisneySea: Lookout Cookout!
Peter Pan Dinner and Ride - Friday Oct 31 2025 (part 10)
We really liked Lookout Cookout, and it was one of the first things Trevor mentioned he wanted to do when he thought about doing this quick visit. The time finally arrived!
He got the brownie, the curry chicken, and the hot kiwi drink.
Not a bad dinner!
It was raining heavier by this point, and apparently that was scaring some folks away - there was essentially no line at the Peter Pan ride, so Trevor walked basically right in to the pre-show. After the pre-show its usually just a crush of people slowly shuffling up to the get the 3D glasses, but there wasn't really a crowd!
It only took literally one minute to get the glasses and board.
Flying Walrus!
Trevor got off the ride at about 8:15.
Seriously it's so pretty at night.
Rapunzel also had essentially no wait, so he decided to ride that. I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed he didn't take any pictures of the entrance with the lanterns all lit up but I forgive him. There were some cute things in the queue that he did take pictures of.
Do the lanterns on the book cover kind of make a hidden mickey?
Missed connections!
One more queue picture:
Snuggly Duckling Ladies Night, how cute!
This is how empty it was - Trevor got his own boat! He did decide to put on his poncho cause it was raining a bit harder by then.
There were a couple folks on the boat that was loading when Trevor got up there, but the nice CM held him for a second and gave him his own boat and took a picture of him.
And of course, he got the front row!
He got off the ride and saw that Frozen was only a 5 minute wait or so. Crazy! I guess the rain scared people off a lot, so he decided to head over there.
This is where I feel bad - Trevor had sent me some pics of the merch in the Fantasy Springs gift shop but with the time difference, I was asleep. I woke up at about 8:35 pm Japan time (so 25 min before park closing) and sent some requests but only if he had time. I ended up texting right as he was getting in line for Frozen but he ditched it to go do shopping for me - such a good guy! I do feel a bit bad he didn't get a second ride on Frozen but he didn't tell me about it being a short wait while he was there - he only told me that once he was back home so I couldn't tell him to go get back in line.
He finished buying stuff right as the park was closing, so was able to use the Fantasy Springs exit to leave (yay!) and headed over to Bon Voyage to get some more Tokyo Disneyland stuff to bring back for folks. I was definitely doing some vicarious shopping.
After Bon Voyage, he was ready to head back to the hotel but he saw some gachapon machines there in the train station:
So fun. Trevor loves the little aliens in costumes so he got that gachapon:
He got the Peter Pan one for me:
A fun little way to cap off the night!
By 11 pm, he was back in the room though he told me that as he walked through the lobby he saw some folks dressed in the hotel pajamas - Buzz Lightyear! But back at the room he was getting all packed up and ready for his last day tomorrow. His flight was at 5ish, so he was planning to leave the resort around 1 pm. But first, Disneyland in the morning! We were chatting a bit about Happy Entry - the CM told him it was at 8:15 but the park didn't open til 9 am according to the website so Trevor wasn't sure if he the 8:15 was a mistake or not. He decided he'd try and leave/check out at about 7:30, so he'd be over to Disneyland in plenty of time for Happy Entry if it actually opened up at 8:15. We'll see!!
Overall not a bad Halloween! I was having fun living vicariously through him for the time I was awake He got to do everything he had on his list at DisneySea and the Halloween party - calling that a win. We'll see how tomorrow goes - would there be any Halloween left?
Fun with Metrics:
Ride count: 9 (Raging Spirits, Gadget's Go Coaster, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Tower of Terror, Electric Railway, Aquatopia, Frozen, Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure, Rapunzel's Lantern Festival)
