I don't understand how tickers work. We are going on Sunday the 5th, that is actually 9 days away.

Well maybe not for you but if it was us I'd already be packing just because it takes so long to get everything I need for the kids. But it's getting closer!!!

I am notorious at waiting to pack until the last possible minute. Procrastination at it's best!

Before kids I'd be packing the night before. Now that I have to pack for the kids too I start a good week before. I put all the things I want folded into a laundry basket and then move it to a suitcase as we get closer to the trip.

It's hard to be packed early when you consider the lack of clothes we have. I mean seriously I have less than half the clothes I had before the fire. Not that I am complaining.

One week from today at this time we will be on the road!! Driving down I-5 looking at the stark landscape. I am so hoping I can convince Scotty to drive. He gets us there much faster!

Hi friends,

I came to ask that you pray for my neighbor. Her 33 year old son was found dead in his bed this morning. Right now his 7 year old is on my couch playing video games on my DS and watching cartoons. He asked me if his dad is okay. I told him that I couldn't say. I had no clue what to say. I am so sad. He and my nephew were really good friends when they were younger. His mom Linda and I are friends. I have no clue what to say to her. Please pray for his family.

I am sorry, I will pray for all of you. This is very difficult. I pray God gives you the words you need.

Yes, I have found that going to Judy's thread in times of need it is a good place to go. There is always a prayer available there.

Well hopefully you get at least one on your trip. It not it's going to be fun no matter what clothes your wearing.

Who knows then. I just know I don't like listening to my DH complain I'm driving to fast so I don't. We always limit how much the kids drink both before we get in the car to leave and while we are on the trip!!! Don't want to stop if we don't have to. Oh and we also make them go potty right before we leave. So I'd do the same thing to your mom. I did when my mom went on a trip with just me and the kids for Leap Year. She didn't appreciate it at the time but when we didn't have to stop an hour later she quit giving me such a hard time about it.


I know I said this on Judy's thread.... But I'll say it here again. Prayers for your neighbors and the precious little boy!! Hugs for everyone involved.
