I have been twice since then. One trip I went with my best friend and then in 2012 Scotty an I went for our second honeymoon. Loren went last November with his best friend and his family. The girls haven't been since 2010.

I'm glad you guys have at least been able to go but still 3 years for a family vacation is hard. Luckily my parent's like to do some of the things we like to do so our last vacation with them was back in May when we did the cruise. But I haven't taken a family vacation with my brother or sisters since we were all kids and still living at home. Would be fun to now but some of them can't afford it so it won't be happening unless other's pay for them and that won't be happening.

We do a lot of little trips but this is the first big vacation. Our kids are getting old enough they want to do their own things. I am cool with that. Today is a big day for me. I got to park in our driveway. It may not seem like much but I feel like I am finally home. I can park in my driveway and not on the street.

Sometimes it's the little things that count. I'm going to be so sad when our kids don't want to do things with us but I know I've got a while before that happens. Thankfully! That is a big deal!! YOUR HOME!!!!!

I just looked at the extended forecast on accuweather.com. Oh my goodness!! We could not ask for more pleasant weather. I hope it holds true.

It was definitely too god to pass up!


It should be fun because everybody sees the park differently. I would bet Scotty and I mostly take park pictures, and the kids take a lot of selfies. Loren has asked for a tripod though so that he can get some nice park shots. We shall see. After all he is a 17 year old male.


I know! It was 41 degrees this morning and the high is expected to be in the 50's. I can hardly wait!!

Kelly that was my thought about the tripod. I am wondering how he plans on carrying it. I bet he thinks that Kacy will carry it in her purse or Kody will in her backpack.


That sounds nice. But then it sounds miserable and that also sounds like cold weather. The sudden change in weather like that never fails to get colds going.
