Next - my brother committed suicide 13.5 years ago. I know that you are numb right now and in shock and just so incredibly sad. My heart aches for you.
I hope you have or can contact a minister. The book of Ecclesiastes , chapter 3: verses 1-8 of the Old Testament of the Bible has always been a comfort to me.
You were wondering about insurance - it varies and depends on the clauses in the policy.
Also - did you Dad serve in the military? They will provide an inground stone at no cost (or at least they did when my brother died.
Please know that you are not alone - and remember that your Dad did love you so very much. I recall your posts of the trips you planned together and the warmth and closeness you share with your family. This was not the fault of anyone - there is nothing you could have done - don't beat yourself up thinking, "what if." And I know you will - because I did the same thing. Sometimes the pain and sorrow that the person had bottled up inside him/herself becomes too overwhelming. Please remember the good times, the love, the laughter....
