UPDATE: What are the odds of someone cancelling Poly concierge for Columbus day?

So, we're going Columbus day weekend and staying at the Poly. Just booked a regular room cuz its just a quick weekend trip. DH started looking finally and said, why didn't you book concierge? Well, now of course its too late, cuz all of the concierge is booked. Do you think theres any chance whatsoever of anyone cancelling concierge for that weekend? Also, if anyone here has plans and end up cancelling, send me a pm!

UPDATE -> Thanks to everyone for their responses. I just called today and was able to get poly garden view concierge for our dates! Yay!

There is a very good chance that if you check frequently, someone will cancel along the way. People cancel all the time, and there is still a good amount of time between now and October. So keep trying!

I'm in the same boat for our December trip!

very good odds that you will be able to get the nights you want--here's what you do: start checking for each night you need, one by one. Add each night as it comes available until you get all the nights you need. Now,this being said, you still might not get all of them---how do you feel about moving from room to room if need be? I have had to do that once or twice for a night here or there. (started out with one night in a regular room in tahiti, then moved to concierge for the rest of our nights, or vice versa, one night at the end of our trip in a regular room in tahiti)

Also, how have you tried to book the rooms, on the phone or online? I find that sometimes the rooms are available on one and not the other. Check both frequently. I have heard that cancelled rooms go back into the system overnight, but some folks say they go back in right away.

Several years back I had to cancel our Christmas Trip due to a family emergency. I called on December 29 to see if I could possibly get a room for New Years Eve and they said nothing was available but she would look anyway. While I was talking to her a room opened up at CR which is what I wanted. So anything is possible.

I once had to cancel a trip the day we were to leave - family medical emergency. So, if you have your heart set on a club level stay, keep trying. Maybe someone will get sick or die and you wish will come true!!

(I know you don't wish anyone ill, I just thought that was funny.)
