Someone in my Facebook group mentioned that they heard that port adventures have been updated to include:

-not being in “bubble” group
-allowing shopping ect
-not requiring unvaccinated children to get off ship only in a port adventure (ie, they could leave without one)

Can anyone here confirm this information?

Thanks

Well I just went looking for the policy in the “Know Before You Go” section and it no longer mentions that unvaccinated children may only debark in a DCL shore excursion so I’d say the bubble has been burst, so to speak

Updated on April 1st….
I’m becoming such a cynic these days.
Makes me feel a little bit more comfortable about letting go of my Disney lead port adventures for my own choices.

And yet I got an email this week for my upcoming cruisesaying unvaxxed kids need a DCL excursion to disembark. Their communication team is the worst.

I'm keeping my cruise booked excursions for Alaska and if we can explore the town with the kids before or after it will be a bonus

I think it’s a port by port policy.
I’ll bet now some ships avoid ports with strict testing and some ships still visiting are using full testing protocol. I’m thinking that DCL will set up one port with PCR testing because at least one or more ports still has the 72 hour PCR requirement (St. Thomas???) Canada still have strict rules maybe Alaska? Certainly Hawaii is stricter.
Sure would be easier for one policy right? but that’s a year out at least.
