Update to BWV Mold issues and MS response.

Just wanted to drop a line to tell everyone how this played out. If you remember, a while ago I posted pictures I took of the 1br BWV room I had stayed in. The pictures showed a large amount of mold on the registries. I told the front desk about it; they said they would notify mousekeeping. Nothing was done about it.

So some of you suggested that I contact Jackie Lueders
from MS. Which I did and I sent her the pictures. I emailed her the story and asked for one nights compensation (24 points) because of this. I had actually stayed for 5 nights at BWV.

Today, I got a call from Jackie and she informed me that they did agree to return 24 points to my account because of the inconvenence. Which I am very happy about. Now the only problem that I have is using the 24 points before the use year is out... will the problems never go away?

Anyways, Jackie, thank you for your help and understanding. DIS posters, thank you for the help in contacting Jackie.
 
I'm glad you received a response.

Did she happen to say if they had taken care of the mold?

No because I was going out the door when she called. I just got the basics.

I would have hoped they did a second after the saw the orginial email though.
 
thank you for the up date, you should call ms and see if you could bank those points and explain to ms what happened and how they returned those points. if not you could always rent the points out and save the money for for next trip:earseek:

I'm sorry, Jackie quickly explained to me that I couldn't bank them because they are considered 'returned' points. I didn't argue with her of course. Plus, I already called MS to see what I could do with them. Use them or lose them was pretty much the answer.
 
Thank you, spearenb, for taking the time to bring this to the attention of DVC management. Also, thank you for the update. :D

I am happy that you were compensated, but my guess is that you would rather have had a room without the mold in the first place.

I also would like to thank you for going the extra step of documenting the situation to management. I bet Jackie wishes these DIS Boards never existed! :eek:


I'm glad they decided to give you some compensation, and hope that you are able to use them with no problem.

Oh, and thanks for updating us as well on this. :)
