Update to BWI concierge--expensive!

I have a standard room booked for $219/night later this month at the BWI. Called to check on avaiability of concierge and added cost. CM told me to update would be an additional $175/nt. Should I keep calling or is this about what to expect for upgrade?

That would take the cost per night to $400. I have booked a deluxe concierge (larger room with 2 queens and a queen sofa bed) for $350 with AP rate. The standard concierge was available for $300 + tax. I'm sure there must be a code or such that would give you a better rate for your time. Have you checked www.mousesavers.com

I used a CIF code to book. When I called them back I asked for a rate for concierge using the CIF code and that is the rate they gave me. Did the rates you quote include tax? I'd be willing to go $300/nt. but no higher.
