*UPDATE* Questions about tickets bought for a June trip if I have to re-book for December..

So, just like many others, we have a trip this June that I'm starting to believe we won't be able to make (June 13-20th). It was 350 pts and of that, 250 points were Sept UY banked from 2018 so they'll have to go to RCI, which is fine I'm sure we can find a place to go in the next 2 years. BUT the only time we can go next is this December and we're looking at Dec. 18-23, so a shorter trip.

Here are my specific questions:

1. I bought tickets for the Villians After Hours in June, we should be able to apply the costs and re-book those for a Mickey's Christmas party, right?
2. I bought 7-day hopper tickets for our 2 grown sons through UT but they've been linked to MDE. I know right now Disney is saying for trips through the end of June you can shift your tickets through Dec. 20th and since we'd be arriving before then the tickets should work for the entire trip, right?
3. I bought Gold Ticket annual passes for DH and I but have not activated them yet since we were going to do that on arrival in June - but I now realize that my possible new dates in December are blacked out for those tickets. *Could I take the price difference between our boys tickets, since they were 7 days and now only 5 days, and apply that "credit" to upgrading our annual passes?

Does any of this make sense?? If I need to call MS I will, I just thought someone might have experience with what happened with similar changes to your own trips!

Thanks!

You can not downgrade a ticket, so those 7 days can’t be changed to 5,

You could return to UT, but I believe they charge a small fee, I did read they have included e-tickets which are not normally allowed.

I have May tickets and have not yet seen the date change yet to Dec 15th, and had not read that June ones would be changed too as I have some then as well,

You cannot use someone else's tickets to upgrade to your own AP.
You cannot use multiple tickets to upgrade to one AP
if your sons aren't going, you can either return to UT or use them at a later date.

I just wanted to write back and let everyone know of my experience with WDW Ticketing today!! I ended up cancelling our CCV June 13-20th trip and I'm now waitlisted for CCV for Dec 17-23rd, so we'll see how that goes -but at my 7 month mark we'll try for a different resort with *fingers crossed* that CCV opens up!

So, this is what I originally posted above:

*Could I take the price difference between our boys tickets, since they were 7 days and now only 5 days, and apply that "credit" to upgrading our annual passes?

and here is what Ticketing worked out for us today:

Ticketing said that the MVMCP tickets/dates are NOT out yet so I couldn't book those but she cancelled our June 19th Villians tickets and used that "credit" to cover the upgrade cost for DH and I to upgrade our Gold AP tickets to Platinum since our new December dates were blackout for Gold APs.

She said that the new December dates were slightly higher in price for the boys 2 7-day hopper tickets that I had purchased through UT but linked to MDE so she was able to change the dates from June to December and covered the cost upcharges with the remaining "credit" she had when she cancelled our Villians tickets.

We ended up with ~$3 refund back in the end from the cancellation of the Villians tickets after taking out the Platinum AP upgrade and the 2 7-day park hoppers for the boys that she was able to change the dates on.

So it all worked pretty well - except for the part of us not going in June....but bring on December!
