UPDATE!!! Prayers needed for a newborn!

I will hold this precious baby in prayer and also offer these words of hope:

My DS also had meconium in his lungs as well as a Group B Strep infection... He was in the hospital for a week after birth and now he's a healthy, robust, active 9 year old boy.

Hey .. popping in for a quick update. Keep up the prayers/get well vibes because it is working! Jude is doing much better today and has improved so much over the last 24 hours his Dr. is saying things like "he has turned the corner" and "he is on a completely different page from the one he was on yesterday".

Don't get me wrong, he is still very sick & still in isolation, and still on the ventilator, BUT they have cut back his paralizing drug and he is keeping himself stable. He responds to my touch and will wiggle his toes & fingers. She (his Dr) said that if he continues on this path, they may be able to ween him from the ventilator around Sunday, and if he does well with that, they will be able to transfer him to a hospital closer to us so we can be with him easier. I was able to visit today for a few hours & he peeped his eyes open at one point.

keep the thoughts coming, like I said..It's working!!!
