Update Post #14-DVC Slider for MB

Just got our new set of MBs for upcoming May trip, it included one slider for DVC Membership. Why not 2 sliders, one for both DW and I since we are both members?

Obviouis discrimination based on sex although you need to resolve with your DW which of you is the victim of such.

This is the first I have heard there is a DVC slider. Only about 10 days ago we got bands for a May trip and there was no slider. We did recently get an AP slider for the set of bands that comes for AP cardholders and those had a slider for each of us with an AP. Since it is something new, the explanation might simply be that they do not yet have a sufficient supply of the DVC sliders yet to give more than one per family.

We got the two sliders for our APs.
No I am not able to post a picture.
It is Blue/White with Mickey ears.

I received my Magicband about two weeks ago for a May trip, and no slider either.

I have a set that just shipped, so we'll see when they arrive later this week. If there is a DVC Slider, I'll post a picture.

Hmm. I wonder if that is why they put the "DVC Member" designation on the MDE page? Our bands for June should be shipping soon, so it will be interesting to see if we get sliders. We haven't activated our APs yet so we haven't gotten the AP bands.

The DVC Affiliation on your profile is primarily used for member pricing on passes and special event tickets purchased via disneyworld.com.

They are just now testing sending these sliders out starting with reservations that start after 5/11/14.
I was told a note is being placed on my reservation that DW needs one and it can be picked up at the front desk upon check-in.

We leave on April 27 this week and already have our MB and sliders. They came a week ago.

We won't go again until October and have until late August to "personalize" our next set of Magic Bands. Any guesses as to what changes will have taken place by then? Hopefully they will have upgraded their readers to be able to read _all_ information on your MDE account and so not have to carry extra cards with you.

Any photos of the sliders? Are they available to members with only resale contracts or just those with at least one direct contract?
