Update:
I am still sick http://www.***************.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif MJ and Andrew are doing better, but I have a Dr's appt on Monday. UGH
MJ's wheelchair has been dleayed AGAIN, Double UGH. After much crying, begging and pleading on my part, they have found what they think will be an adequate rental chair for her that will work until her chair gets here (sometime in January probably http://www.***************.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif )
My mom is having to have another heart surgery later this month, it just breaks my heart that I can't be there for her.
We had to take MJ to the First Aid station on Sunday for a sever meltdown and medicate her. Scared the heck out of our friends at MGM because the call went out over the radios since we had to be escorted, so as soon as the description happened everyone knew who it was. She got very violent and we had to give her Clondine and knock her out (I hate that stuff) she seemed ok when she woke up several hours later, but she is very clingy this week, probably a combo of that and me still being sick.
My niece Zoe was born Sept 29th at 33 weeks. She is doing so well, she was 5lbs 2 oz and able to go home after a week with no blood transfusion, so that is AWESOME. My brother is apparently very cute as a new father. She is gonna be a daddy's girl for sure! I sooo wsih I could see her. If anyone wants to see her, email or PM me and I will give you the web addy.
A couple of AMAZING things from friends: (GET SOME TISSUE)
SnwhtNdwrfs and her sixth grade class did a phenomenal thing for us. She told them about MJ's chair situation and how much it was going to cost. They had helped raise $$ earlier for hurricane Rita and Katrina victims and they came up to her and said they watned to do another fund raiser. When she asked them what for, they said MJ's new Wheelchair. The kids started bringing in their change (one boy even tried to give his lunch $$) one girl had a lemonade stand and a couple teachers matched funds. They sent us 250.00 towards her chair. (We are a 1/4 of the way there. This was so overwhelming to me I still cry about it every time I think about it. They also sent her a poster (Disney Princesses of course) signed by all of them. You hear about things like this all the time, you just never expect to be a recipient of them your self. What an Amazing act, you will never know how much this means to us SnwhtNdwrfs. I will send you guys a pic as soon as she gets her new chair.
Talking Hands, my friend and MJ's Nana also has made an incredible gift to this family. Tommorrow she will be bringing me her old ECV (she uses a Power Chair now) so I will finally have my own transport if we can figure how to get it in the car. http://www.***************.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif It will be so nice. (Isn't she awesome?)
I still have my trip report to do, as soon as I am feeling better I will get it all typed, it took me all day to get this much done in little snippets ..Thanks for your patience, I miss you guys.
