UPDATE on the guy at work i liked!

I couldnt find the old thread but I wanted to update some people who told me to let them know what happens. Sum it up, i liked a guy at work etc but never got the nerve up to speak to him. We always caught each others eye and said hi.

Well yesterday I went up to him (Finally!) And asked how old he was. Would you belive he was 27 yesterday?! Yes it was his birthday the day I asked him. What are the odds of that . Anyways I wished him happy birthday and asked why he was working on his birthday. He said he didnt have anything eles planed or to do.

So i said im about to head outside for a break. He said well you know, I need a break also ill come with you

We sat outside talking for about 15 min. Then we went back in and he said ill stop by later and get something to eat.
Well I was in the back washing dishes and I guess he came up from what I was told by my co-worker. She said he came up looked around and walked away. So I went out there and a few min. later he came back and started talking to me. He got some chicken tenders and said "when you get off work come and find me"

Well It was 8, and I got off at 9. He toke me by surprise when he said that. So of course I worked fast as I could to make sure I was done by 9. Then I went walking down the isle looking for him.

We talked some more about movies etc. And then before I left he asked me for my phone number ! So im gussing that means hes interested in me also?! hehehe

well im off to work.. wish me luck!

My DH and I met at work, but we didn't start dating until eight years later. If I hadn't been engaged at the time, he said he would have asked me out right on the spot.

hehe well me getting the courage to talk to him and getting my number is like a birthday surprise

also take note, I work in a deli. he does stock in the store. so we dont actully work "together" we just see each other. I work till 9 at night, and he does the night stock.

Yes, be careful with workplace romances....it's tough if it doesn't work out and you have to see the person every day......but things can work out great as well.....I met my wife at work!

At the place we worked, they posted monthly birthday's on the board, so I saw that it was her birthday and got her a single red rose, and a birthday card. I gave it to her, wished her a happy birthday, and asked her on a date.

8 1/2 years later, we were married on a beach in Jamaica, and have been for 12 happy years (as of the 18th of this month!)

LOL! My BF and I also worked together 8 years before we started going out. I always thought he was too young. But as you get older, that age gap doesn't seem to matter much anymore.

I also had some pretty messed up work relationships. You just have to be careful.
