Update on SSR incentive & availability

I'm sorry to say I was never told what number we were on the waitlist. He left me a message on Thursday telling me we could not add on with our use year. Then today he called me today and said it was a go he was able to work it out!!!!!!!!!!

I called today to try and get 50 added at DEC UY as i made a bad error of only geting 110 to start when i joined last week. Heres hoping i can get them as the SSR incentives were nice and being a cast member helps to hehe.

I still kick myself for not buying in when I was a CM. The extra discount would have been fabulous!

I called today and asked why everyone was getting either gift cards or (at one time I had heard AP's). We bought in March but noone said anything to us about it. My guy told me originally it was only for 100pt add ons, but they are also now doing 50 pt add on incentives....He also said that he could somehow get us the $400 ($8 per pt - 50 pts bought) gift card but he needed to find out how. They are doing this because of the economy, and the stimulus thing. Hey $400 is great that will cover 2 of my DS's passes for this Aug.

Anyway, for anyone who has bought in that in between time of perks--call and ask about getting the perks. Disney cannot call you, but, if you call them and ask they can then do something. That is what Gib told me.

Just checking again to see if anyone else who bought around this same time has been able to get the $500 gift card? I contacted my guide again about this. She still tells me they don't have any incentive going on that gives a $500 gift card. She told me Monday that she had sent Gib an email about it but he has not replied.

I thought it was a Disney Visa promo not really a DVC promo.

We bought Mid May got the $10 off per point and CM discount (our DS is the CM) no gift card cause of the CM discount. 160pt Dec uy and our guide Mario said SSR was going fast. I would say he wasn't far off!!!

We got the $500 Disney gift card and were able to apply it to our down payment. We bought in early May and got $10 off per point, 2007 points and the $500 gift card. We were not Disney Visa card holders when we purchased DVC but we are now.

We were told the add-on special for SSR was the same as our original purchase - $10 off per point, '07 points and the $500 gift card and put our name on the waiting list for our UY to do an add-on.

That was a different promo this past fall and you got 500 Disney Visa reward dollars with your purchase. Wish that we had done that one but have read of folks not getting their reward dollars credited until 3-4 months after their purchase.

Our guide said the $500 was on a Visa card which could be used anywhere. Oh, we also got a canvas DVC tote bag (white - kinda like a pool/beach bag) when we got our paper work.

Didn't realize they were doing this. We actually had gotten one of those when we originally signed on a couple of years ago. Maybe they still had some lying around. Anyone else get this?

Will Disney announce the end of SSR sales or does the completion slip away quietly?

My guess is that it will be announced in conjunction with the BLT sales beginning.
