update on SoG construction

No- Most of the Deluxe hotels hold 5, as well as some of the rooms at POR. The Contemporary Garden rooms have 2 queen size beds plus a twin day bed - so no problems holding 5. The rooms are slightly smaller than SOG, and you'd have to rent a fridge if you wanted one - but other than that, it wouldn't be that different.

I have reservations for June 2004 for two rooms for my Girl Scouts ( one of the families is an air force family) because there are 10 of us. If we have to go with another hotel, don't the rest only hold 4 per room? We would have to get another room and it's so hard for the girls to fund raise what they already need. Am I correct that it is the only hotel on Disney Property that hold 5 per room?

No, you're completely incorrect. First, unless really bad things start to happen, there's no reason why you should have to stay any where else come Jun 04.

As to other (Disney owned) hotels that accommodate 5 per room, you have: Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge (only certain rooms), Coronado Springs (suites only), POR (Dixie Landings - rooms w/trundle bed), Old Key West and Fort Wilderness Cabins. I *think* I have them all. May have left missed one, but as you can see, SoG is far from the only hotel on site that holds 5 to a room and ALL of these hotels are offered under SoG's overflow program. :)
