Excellent news...just got back and went hunting for this thread. Glad to hear that the surgeons feel that they "got it all." Take your time recovering, Pembo, and don't be too alarmed by the deficits you're experiencing now. They may be temporary due to the manipulation and swelling caused by the surgery. Thank you so much for the update and please keep us informed as we all keep Barb and her family in our prayers.

Just got off the phone with Mark. He thanks you again for all your prayers. He told me that he can feel the prayers all the time. He has been at the hospital pretty much around the clock for the past 4 or 5 days. Tomorrow he plans to take a "day off" and go see his kids and get some things done around the home.

Barb had a bad morning. But after they cut back on her pain meds and got her up for some physical therapy, she felt much better. She was able to sit up in bed and eat something. And during physical therapy she walked a few steps.

Mark seems to think that Barb may come home Thursday or Friday. They had originally been told that she would have to stay in the hospital between 4 and 7 days. Her surgeons are encouraged by her recovery so far.

Prayers for continued good news. For strength for Mark as he stands by Barb during her recovery. For a speedy and complete recovery for Barb. And prayers of thanksgiving for the wonderful surgeons and caregivers at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
