Update on my prayer request for Tara

Tara's mom called in this morning to let me know she will not be at work again and to give me an update.

The good news is that Tara is finally eating a little! She ate some soggy Cheerios this morning. This is very good news, as she had not eaten in 5 days and has gone from 24 to 19 pounds. She was also extremely dehydrated, but an IV seems to be resolving that problem.

The bad new is that the doctors still have not determined what is wrong with her (other than they think it is probably some sort of virus). They are doing some blood tests today. Hopefully they will know more when they come back. Until they can get a better handle on what is going on, Tara will remain in the hospital.

Her mom (who sounded much less worried this morning) says she if one unhappy little girl, but that she looks better this morning. This is whole lot to go through for a girl who just approaching her 2nd birthday.

Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers for Tara. I will update you again as soon as I know more.

One a related note: Some of you may remember a prayer request that I posted a little over two and a half years ago for a pregnant friend who was afraid she would lose her baby. You might also recall I later posted that she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. That baby girl is Tara.
