Update on my oldest

Today she went to college. Got registered, got her classes set up, tested out of a year of spanish, saw her dorm room and a few other things.
She's all excited. She also tried to take a test in calculus, and realized by the 6th question that it was way above her head. So pre-cal it is.

Her dad looked at her car yesterday and he and his friend is looking for another car with a bad motor to switch with her car. It will take an awful lot to make her car really drivable again. And she needs it by next month.

She's going to see a doctor, just for insurance purposes next week, as soon as I can make an appointment. She's still ok though. I don't know how, but she's ok.

Anyway, that's it for her.

Maggie, basic training starts in June. She's in radiology and they couldn't get her in until then. She will be doing the monthly weekends starting this month though. In a pre-basic training thing.

I'm so confused.

What does that mean "she's in radiology and they can't get her in until then"? Radiology courses? After basic training will she still only have weekend duty? Which college is she going to? Where the heck have I been?

LOL!!!

Ok, she's going to Purdue, she starts next month. She's in the national guard and will have weekend duties one weekend a month until she starts basic training.
In the mean time, her weekends will be like a pre-basic training. Since she hasn't had basic training yet, they really can't have her do much of anything.
They have a special place for people like that.

Ok, after her freshman year at college, she will start basic training and radiology school. That will take up that next year. Basic, 9 weeks, school/AIT, I think 43 weeks. After AIT she will have an associates degree in radiology.
Then she will go back to college and this year and the next years of college will be paid for.
And she will still do the weekend thing and the 2 weeks in the summer.

Did I get it all?

I'm glad you asked for clarification, because as I was reading, I was dazed and confused, but I knew by the end of the thread I would no longer be and the world would be clear again! (Or at least I was hoping I wasn't the only "lost" soul) LOL

I'm a Purdue grad! She's in a great place! And yes, she does have to hafve EVERYTHING before she gets there, even if she won't use and/or like half of it! Is she is a dorm?

I took temporary leave of my senses once and i forgot where io left them still cant sdeem to get it all back

Laurie, wow! Sounds like a lot is going on for her right now. Good luck to her (and I know how those math tests go... pure evil I tell ya ) Thanks also for the clarification, I was a bit confused myself

I hope something can be done with her car though... that one still gives me the shivers to think about!
