got up at 7 am. put 55 dollars worth of gas into suburban. drove 55 miles west. signed in. waited about 20 minutes while filling out paperwork. turned in paperwork. sat back down.. waited 6 more minutes. was called back. nurse spent 30 minutes with julie asking all sorts of history took bllod pressure.. 168/106. took it again. 154/105... went got different moniter third time 158/108.... more questions. ,, after 45 minutes with th e nurse she took the history pages out to the dr for him to revue, took about 15 minutes he came in, started asking more questions, looked at jules blood work from last week and was shocked they hadnt already started treating her at our local hospital. cholesterol was at 357 total, ldl was 247.. hes not happy. started her on lipitor asap, an asprin regimine for bp till he can get her cholesterol down , (says if he tryed heavier meds before he gets cholesterol down they will counteract each other,) visited with us a while longer, looked at mri/catscan, did memory test, tested reflexes, asked jules if she wanted his help with getting on disability as it may take a "couple of years" to get her straightened out and her strength back. he may be from india, and have the really thick british accent, but we really like this dr. very thourough, very nice, very easy to understand the answers he gives, so looks like we are goingto be starting disability stuff. again. and are in for the long haul to get her back on the right track.
