UPDATE Michael Jackson rushed to the hospital (He Has Died)

WEll the rumors have started. This is from the Sun.

Last night it was suspected his collapse could have been caused by an overdose of painkiller.

An Emergency Room source at UCLA hospital said Jackson aides told medics he had collapsed after an injection of potent Demerol — similar to morphine.

A Jacko source said: “Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing.

“His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped

yes, I always wonder where you start counting..
My MIL was counting the three as David Carridine, Ed M. and Farrah...

so by her count MJ is 1...

David Carradine was too long ago and not as huge a star. Two other character actors died the same week (sorry, have forgotten their names)

The three would be:
Ed McMahon
Farrah Fawcet
Michael Jackson (the most famous, but all three known world wide)

If someone else passes, it would be an extra or the beginning of another three.

Yes Carradine might have been the first, and then MJ would be the start of a new three

MJ...Cronkite...??? Patrick Swayze??? Hope not:sad2:

My husband just said that he wouldn't be surprised if Patrick Swayze was next.

I didn't know Walter Cronkite was ill.

How dare you not know about Freddie Mercury? He was one of the best!

I was very sad when Freddie died. I cried. I sit here stunned about MJ, but not broken up. He was a star, a huge star and so many things happened which made him only a fraction of what he was before. Of course many factors changed him-- he was only a fraction of what he was before.

There is no denying how much money he made. I remember watching Thriller video so much in 7th grade -- I like many had it memorized.
:lmao: sorry!

His brother just spoke and it is heartbreaking to see the pain on his face and in his voice. It sounded like, from what he said, his personal dr. was with him at home when he passed so he must have had something going on before the "cardiac event".

I would guess that the kids may go to one of the brothers that is living a "normal" life? Are any of them normal?

I didn't know Walter Cronkite was still alive until I saw the headline that he was very ill. I thought he died a long time ago.

I just heard that he actually died around noon and that they called the family in before taking him to UCLA. That he was already cold when the medics got there.

I was wondering the same thing Do they go back to their mother or to his family? I think if there is ahalfway normal one in the family it might be Janet. Not sure if the kids will go to her.

Still in shock here

there were some pictures of his oldest child without the veil. so i'm wondering if he had started to lighten up on that or if the oldest child just said no he wouldn't do it.

i can't remember where i saw them but it was only last week or the week before

i would suspect that someone in michael's family - probably not janet but most likely one of his brothers

that would be my guess

The brother said he died around 2something (can't remember exactly). It sounds like he died at home but they continued to work on him for quite awhile. They said they tried to resuscitate him for at least an hour.

I also read that they are going to do the autopsy tomorrow. I am sure the toxicology report will take weeks though.

I think some of the others have a more "normal" life. Only one of them is younger than Micheal was. The oldest is almost 60, and the youngest bro is 48. Then there are the sisters too. I think Latoya is fairly messed up. Janet's a little better I guess.

I was talking with a friend of mine tonight, who is a family attorney. She said that even though Debbie Rowe gave up her parental rights, with Michael's death, she will now have the opportunity to petition for custody again. That doesn't mean that she'll automatically get it, but she has the right to petition now. If she's had visitation in the past, that will improve her chances. I do recall when the child molestation claims first came out, she tried to fight for custody, but later dropped it (probably didn't have the money to fight him).

They first announced his death alittle fter 6 on the east coast so he might have died at 2 Pacific Time

Were they married at one time

I was in shock today when I heard he had custody of his kids. He just doesnt seem like someone to trust with 3 kids, but who knows

I'm watching the Barbara Walters thing on ABC. They are showing his brother Jermaine sp?? That really breaks my heart to see that. He did say Michael had his personal Dr. with him at the time. Does MJ have a dr that lives with him.

Yes, they were married ('97 to '99?) - long enough to have 2 children by artificial insemination. No one seems to know who the mother is of his third child.

It's all so strange. I do hope the children are able to live a more normal life now...wonder if they ever attended school?

I am not sure that I would agree that a woman that gave birth to 2 children and was willing to give up all rights to them for a large sum of cash is the best person to give custody to.

I haven't heard much about Janet since the 'wardrobe" incident . Not sure is really very stable either. If Michael did have a Will then it will be very interesting when it is read and administered.
