...A good Cheese Quesadilla recipe? I'm ashamed to say that I do not know how to make quesadillas at all. My kids have been begging for them. They're so picky they would just want cheese on theirs.

Please help me out! Thanks! :)

UPDATE: Just got done making quesadillas! I'm so  that I even had to ask you guys! It was so easy- and really tasty! The kids loved them! Thanks, everyone!! :thumbsup2

All I do is spray a frying pan with pam and let it heat up for a few minutes on med-high. Then I put on one tortilla and let it cook for a few minutes. Before it gets brown I add some cheese and let it melt slightly before I put on another tortilla and flip it over. I cook the other side until it's a little brown.

I make them all the time but I don't really have a recipe. it's kind of like making a grilled cheese...I just use flour tortillas, heat some oil on medium in a skillet (enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet but not so much that the tortilla will be swimming), throw a tortilla in, sprinkle shredded mexican style cheese (add chicken or jalapenos or whatever you like) and put another tortilla on top. I squish it down with my hand or a spatula and then flip with a pair of tongs. Beware, this is where you might fall apart. Cook until golden on both sides and cheese is melted. Continue until you use all the tortillas. You might have to add more oil to the skillet as you go.

I cut the tortillas with a pizza cutter, have some salsa, sour cream and guac if you like and you are all set! Have fun. It's one of those great meals that everyone likes, and it's quick and no defrosting!

I make Quesadillas all the time. All you need are some flour tortillas, some cooking spray, and a frying pan. Of course, you need whatever you want to fill it with too. If you want just plain cheese, I use the shredded "Mexican" blend.

Just heat the pan under a high heat for a few minutes. Lower the heat to medium to medium high (I'm using a gas stove). Spray the pan liberally. Lay the tortilla in the pan. Cook for a few minutes until the bottom starts to brown up a little. Spray the uncooked side with Pam and flip. Fill the quesadilla and fold it over. Brown both sides and eat.

Sometimes I make them with just cheese and some pico de gallo. Sometimes I cook up some chicken with fajita spice and toss those in too.
Sometimes I cook up a mixture of red peppers, onions, tomato, and black beans and toss that in (with cheese). We eat them all the time. So quick and so yummy. :goodvibes

If they only want cheese...spray a frying pan with Pam (or the like) and pop down a fresh tortilla. Fill it with cheese and either fold it in half or add another one on top (depending on how much you want to make) and lightyly brown the tortilla on each side (also make sure the cheese is goo and melted)! However, you might try and sneak in a little bit of cilantro or some grilled chicken peices or a bit of onion or some peppers if you are making another one for you and dh. Serve with sour cream or salsa (or both) and some fresh cilantro if you like that and waaa laaa...YUM!

I have the Quesadillas maker. It is so easy all you do is plug it in and while you are waiting for it to heat up in like a minute of two. You get quesadilla ready then put in the maker pull down the cover and in about five minutes or when the cheese starts to come out it is done. Clean up is easy to just wipe down with a sponge.

I have used chicken, cheese, ham, turkey strip (like the chicken one).

I just take out my griddle. Put down a tortilla. Place cheese in. Fold it over or another tortilla on top (depends on how hungry I am.) Let some of the cheese melt then flip.

I put mine under the broiler. It's even easy then the frying pan.

Does anyone make any other type of quesidillas?
My kids make a dessert one and they use chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and cometimes coconut .
I'd love to see other options

That sounds good with chocolate chips and stuff.

My recipe is:

I fold a tortilla in half, sprinkle cheese on it then I put it in the microwave for 30 secs or until the chesse is melted.

We make these all the time.

I use my Foreman Grill and the larger sized tortillas. I use left over meats, veggies, and any type of cheese we have. Usually I take left over steak or chicken or sometimes some saute'ed shrimp. I sprinkle sharp cheddar on the bottom, put meat, veggies like peppers, left over corn, green beans or black beans, more cheese and fold over. Place in the grill and put down the lid. In 3-4 min. it is done with the cheese melted and the other ingredients heated up. Oh yes, I usually put about a tablespoon of salsa on it too. They are hot, gooey and spicey if you like. I put a little sour cream on them. I make about a dozen at a time and they are eaten the next day for lunches at our house. You can add anything you want like onions, mushrooms, mozarella, feta cheese. You can even use left over roast beef instead. We like them best as described above. It is easy to make a basic pocket meal with a large flour tortilla and the grill.

I tried using the two tortilla method but the ingredients are difficult to keep inside and turning them was lethal to your health. Hot cheese or meat flying out the sides hurt. The folded ones are easier for me even if I feel I want to flip them, just do it slowly and use a large spatula.

Have fun making quesadillas.
