Its sort of like a journal box with words already printed ( not handwritten ) on it. Did that make sense ? And this would be 1 phrase per person . I did them for the fall swap using my cm cutting tools ( the one with the stars and hexagon shape ) and chalked and matted the background , than printed the phrase on vellum , and embellished it . I thought they were kind of cute.

Hope this answers your question and helps anyone else who may have wondered.

Thanks for the explanation Cyndi. Put me down for a winter phrase please. :) And if it's not too much trouble, I'd like to switch to phrases for Holiday also.

May I have both winter and holiday shaped eyelets, please?

Thanks for doing this!

Pat

60 days and counting . . . again!

for the winter eyeletes...

However, I'm gonna need a little help...I know I need to have 8/person...when will I find out how many I will need

2nd...I have a pretty diverse cultural backround...my mom and I are Jewish...my BF and father celebrate Christmas...So, we've made our own holiday and we call it Chrisannuka (BF's idea...and well it stuck) To top all of this off...I was born on Valentines Day...

Someone send me some directions on this and I will be all set...will anyone else need anything special?

I'll take holiday phrases. This sounds like something new that I would love to try.

Hi ladies,
I have updated this list to date. Please check to see that I have you in the right spot. Also , If you all don't mind I would like to change the closing date to next Monday Oct. 13th ( if it doesn't close out before then ). Most of the spaces have been filled . The only reason I would like to do this is because our group has gotten larger and I want everyone to have the time needed to finish and still be able to produce the calibar of work I have seen here on the boards . Please let me know what you think .
Thanks ,

Cyndi

Cyndi...
Do you need to know what holidays I am doing for my journal boxes on the holiday swap? Or can I just do a selection of holidays then just divide them up?

Just let me know and that's what I'll do! ;)

Thanks....
Wendy

Wendy I love the stuff you do , what ever works for you is fine with me . I know some people are doing Valentines Day , so you may want to include that .

Hi Cyndi

I would love to join. I would like to do the journal box for the Winter one and the Border for the Holiday one.

Thanks for hosting!

are we going to get a total number of people...just so we can get enough of each thing...sorry newbie question-again

By next Monday , you will have the total number of people participating. jlp651 I sent you a pm.

OK....I'll do a little of everything for holidays. I think someone listed Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years and Valentines. Any others????

OK as far as the holiday tags go I would like to do something universal that anyone can use whether they celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or whatever. The things is I don't know what's acceptable. I will admit to not knowing enough about other people's religions or what and how they celebrate. I apologize for being so naive and closed minded. I don't mean to be that way. So my question is or at least one of my questions is can I put like holiday on there. Can I use holly leaves and berries? I am assuming Santa or baby Jesus wouldn't work for everyone. What about a Christmas tree? I would like to come up with someone that everyone can use. Will ya'll please help me. Thanks so much!!!

Oh my gosh I just counted up it we have 2 in each group that will be 22 in each! Totally 44 pieces everyone has to do! WOW! When do we need to send this out by?

LOL

That's why I only signed up for one slot!!!!

Of course - depending on the due date - I might want to do the Holiday Photo Mats too...

Spinning- That's why I decided to close it out a little early. All items will need to be in my hot little hands by December 1st.

Kelli - someone else needs to answer your question , I decided to do "snow " for my winter tags and "holly berry" paper for my holiday theme. I hope some people still do Christmas stuff , some other's New Years, Valentine's , etc.

Cyndi

Kelli I would do what every holiday you want to do. I look at it this way
it is a chance to see other people's work and culture and I am sure can be added into other parts of peoples books.
Or create a wonderful page that could be just about all the different holidays and how you explained them to your kids.
We have many different religion books that we read to our kids about all the holidays. I want them well informed so they will realize everyone is different.

Oh I could do New Year's tags. I didn't think of that! I just had a good idea for holly so if that will work for the other holidays I may do that. Since I have a little bit of time I will wait and see what everyone says. Thanks!

I agree . I don't celebrate Halloween , but I plan to still use the items from the fall/holiday swap in my albums. I've always loved the Haunted Mansion at WDW , so I see them in my future Disney books. I have an old "Goosebump" page from my first trip to WDW and didn't have a clue on how to finish it. Now I do ( Thanks to Kelly's purple/black frames ). A lot of my swap stuff is "dressing up " my first WDW scrapbook which was the first album I ever did . Now my "style" is starting to develop I am going back and revamping some of my first work.
