"Update"Athletes feet question

Inbetween my husbands toes on his left foot he has I believe athletes foot. It's inbetween all toes except his big toe. It red and itchy and slimy and peeling. We have been treating it with tinactin and its not getting better at all. Now Yesterday he woke up with what looked like a Zit on his middle toe and when he woke up today his foot by the toes on top is all swollen. He refuses to go to the doctors so is there any thing else we should try? He thinks the zit thing is a bug bite of some kind.

Update on toe zit thing
I finally got my husband to go to the ER Friday night and they said it was a spider bite they think of some sort and athlete foot but the are not woried about that. They gave him a persription for Levaquin which was suppose to clear it up in 5 days and it still there made a Dr appoint for this morning and they said it looked bad a made him see a ocologist(sp?) this afternoon at 3pm he went to that and needs outpatient surgery on his toe tomorrow. All this for a spider funny thing is he got made at me the day before for screaming at a spider hanging in the middle of the living room saying we are bigger then them. I think thats the one that bit him

Try to convince him to go to the doctor. Sounds like it could get infected.

Maybe it's an allergic reaction to the Tinactin? I would stop using it and go to the doctor.

He has been using the Tinactin for 3 weeks now and the swelling started today He is going to wait till tomorrow and let it run its course. We think its a spider bite or a bee I killed earlier in my house.

What you described first does sound like athlete's foot.
The other does not. There's been plenty of rampant
athlete's foot around here without infection. I'd say an
infection and one's feet are nothing to take for granted.
