Wondering if anyone knows what the new offer for SSR will be??

I understand it will be out tomorrow and wonder how it will compare to the last offer?

I got the impression they were keeping the same $8 off plus no '05 dues, but the base price simply increased by $3 per point from $95 to $98.

Here is the new offer as I understand it.

SSR 150 Pts

Feb 05 U/Y Prorated Dues (so approx 6 months of dues due)

They suggest they are giving 150 pts free because you will get 150 pts again in Feb 06.

Price Per Point $90.00


Can someone help me understand if this offer is better than the last offer????

I would say this is better, except for the price per point. The last offer had no points for 2005, and it seems like you get 150 points right away, and only pay 3 dollars (price increase) + 1/2 the maintanence fees for them. About 5 dollars per point by my estimation. Not too bad, JMHO. This assumes, of course, you like SSR. Otherwise, you can get on the waitlist at Disney for the sold out resorts at either 89 per point or 92 per point (I think it went up!) and get points right away also. Depends on your resort preferences.

No, the old offer had 2005 points. The difference is they were selling September and December Use Years. Under either deal (current or old), members probably need to wait a few months before they can use their points since they are buying into buildings that aren't open yet.

I think the old offer was a little bit better. Under the old one you were paying $87 per point with no 2005 dues. With this offer it's reportedly $90 per point plus about $1.90 in pro-rated dues.

Depends on your resort preferences.

And how much you value the 32% longer ownership period at SSR.

We have a Dec UY.

When we added on 120 points at SSR in April 2005, we got:

120 point SSR add on contract for $87 per point
All 2005 dues for add on paid by DVD (~$300 value?)
120 SSR Dec 2004 points available immediately
100 OKW Dec 2004 Developer incentive points (Couldn't get BWV bc OKW was our FIRST recorded contract)
120 SSR Dec 2005 points ( and thereafter)

So, you can make the comparision to the current offer yourself.
