UPDATE - ALL restaurants from 2008 back on for the 2009 DDP!

I hope they finalize the list soon..... what is it with Disney.... non finalized restaurants, no ADR's yet... no May hours.... sheesh....

Thanks for the advice, I didn't know that they did this every year.

I can't see how they'd remove so many Epcot restaurants from the DDP, that really limits where to eat :/ Nearly half of our ADRs for January are in the World Showcase

These restaurants are not Disney's restaurants - Disney has to convince them that it's worth it for them to accept the dining plan so they'll sign a contract.

If they refuse to sign a contract, Disney won't be able to offer them for the dining plan, no matter how much it limits the plan.

All the restaurants that have participated since 2006 have been participating every year...it'll just be necessary to wait and see what happens this year.

I'm new, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but is Le Cellier is not on the Dining Plan now?

It is on the DDP. It's not on the list above which means they've signed their contract for 2009.

As it stands right now they are not officially participating in 2009. They are one of the non-Disney owned restaurants that are renegotiating their contract with Disney.

They will likely sign for 2009, and will be part of the dining plan, but Disney can't list them until they sign that 2009 contract.

I am a DVCer and just got off the phone with Member Services. I had questions about online check in and before I hung up I asked about DTD restaurants which last week were not on the plan.

Looks like the majority of them are now!!! Raglan Road, Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck, the Cafe and Express are on now.

She also said the full list should be out by end of this week!

YAYY!! I sure hope this is true, sometimes cast members say conflicting things... but we'll know soon!!

I sure hope so too........I might have to make some last minute changes if they don't add a couple of restaurants :(.

I just called the dining line and the CM I spoke with told me everything is still pending. So who knows! :confused3 I really wanted to try Yak & Yeti & Tutto Italia this time so I am still crossing my fingers. I made all other ADR and am saving slots for those two. Hopefully soon!! :sad2:

I'm not sure I "get" this in relation to the Dining Plans. Disney has made the offer; now it's up to the various restaurants to accept or reject it. A more valid observation would be, "What is it with those/these restaurants?"

It is interesting isn't it, who is last to jump on board. I have back of ADR's if it turns out that my DTD choices arent on. Member Services for DVC is usually good about factual stuff.....at least so far.

I am just excited I am at the 40 day mark!

I really suspect that every restaurant will be on in 2009, so this isn't to cause panic, just to mention that DVC also told a few people that the ADR window would be opening further on December 1 this year so I don't even trust them anymore.

I think it is because some people including myself for a while did not know those were non disney restaurants so they see some are not on and just assume it is Disney dragging there feet when in the end it is the restaurants that are assessing things. :)
