Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

Wow....are the refillable mugs the same this year as last? I always like to get new mugs to add to our collection and we have riverside ones, year of a million dreams ones from last year and I was hoping to get Poly ones for this year but the resorts don't have their own still? Does anyone know?

I thought the YOMD ones looked kind of "winterish".....sort of like snowflakes.........or is that just me?

They are the same everywhere except at Coronado where they are the Pepper Market ones.

I can't remember anything else going on, but Doug was still napping every day so we didn't do a whole lot in the afternoons. The cookie thing was not publisized at all. There was a CM walking around outside as we were checking in who gave us the scoop.

We were in building 4 which was RIGHT next to the food court and the closest to the buses. We were also pretty clsoe to the playground, to the point where we'd ahve to walk the long way near naptime. ;) It was kind of far from the pool, but it was a perfect spot for us as we were there in Jan. When people say there really isn't a bad choice at POFQ, they are right!

Thanks for your "expert" advice.... I think I will shoot for building 4.

There really isn't a bad room location anywhere at POFQ -- we stayed in Building 7 last year (the farthest from everything) and it was maybe a five-minute walk to the pool and food court.

Good to know...

Your packing list looks great. Do you need to bring any motrin or benadryl for the girls? It is really expensive in the gift shop. My DD is 23 months and last week at my parents house we used 45 diapers for 1 week if that helps at all.

We stayed in building 7 last year as well. It was the farthest building, but that's not saying much for POFQ. It was a nice walk in the morning to fill the mugs and clear my head without DD and DH. It was at the most 5 minutes, but I'm thinking it was less. You really can't get a bad building, IMO, at POFQ.
We are pretty much tylenol givers.... and I will take some. Thanks for the diaper #... I don't want to spend $$$ on diapers at WDW!

Excellent list! Great job! Poopy about the new 1 bag limit!

I am dreading the packing and carry on stuff.

Why is that I wonder?

I think I read that they did put 2008 on the mug though using the same YOAMD logo.

OMG this looks like so much but is probably no more than I usually take. I have never written it out before. DH would freak if he saw a list like this since he already thinks I way over pack. How many bags are you bringing? I hate that some airlines have started charging more for your second bag.

I just pulled out my mug from Jan. 08, no 2008 anywhere on it. Weird!

Oh, okay. I was reading another thread and thought they said the only change was the 2008, maybe it was that there was no date. You can't trust this prego's brain...:rotfl:

It is a bit daunting to think of all that stuff for a week!

I understand the brain thing completely! Probably why I am making lists and checking them carefully.

Big News... not necessarily WDW news....we found out today that we are having a little BOY! We are all very excited, and now as I told DH we need to princess away this trip because next time we will have a little boy to experience the World with! I promise some trip news soon, just a crazy week with school and moving! Plus the weather has been sooooo nice, lots of outside time!

A little late but... Congratulations!

A twinge of jealousy... well not just a twinge... a lot of jealousy. DH is in Anaheim... headed to Downtown Disney tonight. He can see Space Mountain and Tower of Terror from his hotel room. And well I am freezing in OHIO! At least we are headed to the world soon!

So let's get back to planning our trip!

So I went through our WDW box: fans and ponchos galore. So now I need to print last years list out for packing and start collecting. I see a Walmart stock up trip in the horizon. I am not buying plane entertainment. I think that a movie and Leapster will be good enough.

Things that I need to figure out:

My biggest worry: Diapers. Emily is not well headed down potty train land anytime soon... at least consistently. I doubt she will be good to go by Disney. I think I will have a diaper child again- yikes.

Strollers: As for stroller I plan to have a heart to heart with DH when he returns. Since I am pregnant I won't be carrying the stroller so it is up to him. I have a feeling we will be spending the big $$$ to rent a double for the two park days (I have one day remaining from last trip).

Breakfast: I think for sure we will eat something quick in our room. I plan to buy some cereal to take for the girls, Dh and buy some cereal bars for me. I also plan to pack some cracker packs, chews, granola bars, suckers (Em's best bribe) and other misc snacks.

Water: Costco is what I am doing again... although it better arrive on time this trip (a day late last trip...)

Laundry: Sure I will have to do it... I probably don't have enough cool clothing to wear for a week. I really don't mind though, it will just have to be during a day off!

I will bring a backpack with day gear, I kept my list from last year and felt that it was great for us:

In our park bag

Tylenol/Bandaids
Water bottles (little ones for girls... big ones for mom and dad)
Snacks (chews/granola bars/crackers/goldfish)
Cups/Juice boxes
Hats
Water bottles
Tide to Go Pen
Dry outfit for both
Diapers
Wipes
Sunscreen
Mister
Washcloth
Poncho
Camera
Extra Batteries
Sunglasses
Zip lock bags

At night: PJs and Light up toys (get rid of sunscreen and other non needed)

I think we will get a new autograph book, probably one, I think they can handle sharing it!

On our princess lunch day at CRT we will bring the girls princess dresses and change into them right before we eat. Last year I carried them into EPCOT using those big zip lock bags. They kept the glitter from spreading!

What's the Costco thing about?

So as I think about the fact that our trip is approaching fast...I have to accept one thing: I will not be riding my favorite ride: Splash Mountain. Even more than that, I won't be able to ride Hannah's favorite ride: Splash Mountain. As sad as that makes me to know I can't ride it, it is even harder to know I will miss her excitement on it. So what should a pregnant lady do? ( Yes I will have Emily with me, but really it is about making me feel not so sad!)

I am going to take Em and go on a food adventure: we are going to have our first Dole Whip. As a DISer I need to partake in that treat while they hit Splash Mountain. Hopefully this food treat will help ease the pain of no Splash Mountain!

I am however excited because I think from everything I read, I can indeed still ride Soarin'. That would make me pretty darn happy!

Missing out on Splash is a bummer. :(

It's funny because as I was reading I was thinking, you should take Em and find something yummy to eat, and then, I kept reading and that is exactly what you are going to do!

Dole Whips are the best!!! I love every yummy bite of them! I like both the floats and the vanilla/pineapple swirl. Mmmmm.

So sorry you will have to miss Splash Mountain--boo! BUT, the dole whip should help compensate--they are delicious!! I had my first on our trip in Nov, and have vowed never to go another Disney trip without one!!

Our trips are soooooooooooooooooo close now!! YEAH!!

That stinks that you will miss out on your fav ride! But, I must say a Dole Whip is fantastic! You would love it and it will ease your pain I'm sure.

We can ride Soarin'? I didn't get to ride it in October because by the time we got there all the fast passes were gone and DH didn't want to wait in line. I'll have to check into that!

Today after a disappointing garage sale- day 2 of very little selling:confused: , we headed to the conservatory for the butterfly show: Here are some of the pictures!

100_3368.jpg

Not happy to be posing... they wanted to see the butterflies!

100_3385.jpg

Hannah had some luck keeping this one!

Great fun! One of our favorite books is about a butterfly garden... and we now have visited one!

We then did a little WDW shopping: mom needs a new swimsuit- yikes! Mission accomplished!

We also picked up some cereal packs for breakfast! DH and girls love their Cheerios... so we will just get some milk, bowls from the food court and there they go!

Another fun day... and a day closer to WDW!

Sorry about the garage sale! If I lived closer I would have raided all of your girl clothes. :)

That looks like a lot of fun. How cool that Hannah caught a butterfly on her finger. Lucky girl.

BTW you look great, you are really glowing.

How fun!!! We love butterflies at our house!!!

The girls get more precious in every picture that you post! You look fantastic, also! I gained 50 pounds with Chelsea and 65 pounds with Connor so I never looked that great! And there is no photographic evidence of any of it, I can assure you! :lmao:

I have a feeling I will eat my way through the world... especially with yummy sweets...

It is especially fun because Emily has the sweet tooth like me and enjoys the finer things in life, like treats! She is hard to share with though... I want my own!

I can barely stand it... we will be there soon and the girls have no idea!

I am pretty sure Soarin' is a yes... and I sure love that ride. By far my favorite EPCOT ride, in the top five of all the rides at WDW! I just wish Hannah liked it more.

I wish you could raid them too.... my mom's neighborhood sale is next week, so I might try again! We actually transfered the butterfly... she stayed a long time though, and Hannah thought it was so fun.

Thanks for the compliment... I dread our WDW pics... I think there will be a lot minus mom.. hopefully Em will be with the characters without me and dad.
I do think that picture is good though... I wish I had it earlier... Hannah needs one of mommy and her for preschool and I turned in a not so good one!

I really have not gained much..just a few pounds.

There is a belly now, but I am still in my regular pants, that makes me feel good at 21 weeks!

I'm sorry to hear the garage sale didn't go as well as you hadhoped. The weather yesterday wan't too great for a garage sale until late morning so I am sure a lot of people decided not to shop. TOTAL bummer for you guys!

The conservatory looks gorgeous. My mom really wanted to go last time she was here but we found something else to do instead. Are the butterflies there for a long time? I think the boys would be astounded by them. Also, you look gorgeous in that photo!! Pregnancy must really agree with you!

Total bummer on Splash! Will DH ride it with Hannah? I am thinking a Dole Whip will be a great way to pass the time during the ride! So glad that you found out Soarin is OK! It would totally bum me out if I had to miss that one!!
