UPDATE #293 FINAL LIST : DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing Holiday Magic!

We just returned this afternoon from our 13 nights. As we were packing up last night I realized we had made a huge error. I had both the BWV #2 and #3 shipped before we left. I sent my DH to the UPS store to get them shipped which he did. The BWV delivered both trees to our room. My DH set up our tree and I never saw the box. I assumed we had the right tree. My brother and family had the other tree for one week and boxed theirs up and sent it to the bell desk. Last night my DH tells me someone missed out on their tree. When I look at my box sure enought mikey13v didn't get the tree as he was supposed to. I sent him a PM but still feel bad. I certainly learned a great lesson, to pay more attention to which tree we had. We are going in December again next year and will donate both trees again and I promise I won't mess it up next year.

We were delayed by a day and 3/4 in St. Louis due to the ice storm and missed our time with a DVC tree. We didn't get back to the room until after 11:00 p.m. on the 1st and had morning ressies for breakfast on the 2nd. Since it had to be back at Bell Services for the 3rd, we just left it there. Thanks so much for including us...maybe next year!

Harley , I shipped the BCV #1 Tree I plugged in the tree to make sure it worked, but not the lights. Thank you for replacing them

BCV tree #2 was great!
One of the boxes was in great shape, but I think FedEx beat up the other box a bit.
My family loved having a tree in the room.

We put up the balcony swag, but had to take it down after my Dsil got zapped
because there was a live wire... I put it in a bag with a "do not use sign on it"

I'll post pics soon because it was very pretty

I have to admit, I was swearing at mikey13v under my breath for keeping the tree a day longer than he was supposed to have it. Even though he never heard me, I owe him an apology! Instead of surprising my niece with a decorated room when she got there, she heard me asking at the desk multiple times about the missing box. (The Guest Services people are the ones who handle the boxes at BWV.) When I asked late 12/7 after we got back from MVMCP, the box was finally there! Yay!

We were on the 5th floor and didn't have a way to use the balcony lights, but we did enjoy the tree. Thanks for donating it, even if it didn't work out quite as planned.

What kind of "swag" was it? I am packing a box to be shipped within the next day or two and I have extra balcony lights ready to go if I should include them. The box I am shipping is brand new so if it is in better shape than one of the tree boxes I will gladly swap the boxes and take the old information off and tape it on the new box.


Twotoohappy let me know what needs to be replaced and I will try to include it in my box that I am shipping down. We get BCV tree #2 on the 21st.

Any outdoor lights would look nice. We put our tree on the trunk by the sliding glass door so people could see our lights

Here's a silly question... I assume Guest Services doesn't care if you pick up the tree a day late?

We're arriving on the 31st but will now be in a studio for a single night (gotta save them points) before moving to a one-bedroom for eight nights - I'm thinking that it'll be easier to not pick up the tree until we go to the one-bedroom.

I wouldn't think that this would be any problem but just wanted to make sure.

I dont think it will be a problem, you could always talk to someone at bell service and explain that you are in a studio and you would like to pick the tree up tomorrow when you move to the one bedroom. this way everyone knows what is going on. Enjoy !

I'd like to see a picture too even though we will have it in our room in less than a week!

I did ship a box to the resort so I included 2 more strands of balcony lights and another extension cord if needed. Don't want anyone else "feeling" the Christmas spirit!

We just returned from our trip to OKW and we all really enjoyed the OKW tree donated by BobNed. It was absolutely beautiful and he made sure to include all of the trimmings, including the balcony lights and the wonderful wreath you all saw in his posted photo. My children were amazed when we started pulling the decorations from the box and when we turned on the tree lights and balcony lights. They had no idea we would have our vacation “home” decorated for Christmas. Thank you again for your generosity and for helping to make my children’s vacation brighter.

We're just back from our trip to BCV's and wanted to thank liferbabe for sending our tree out. Even my kids who are 25, 24, and 23 were excited to see it when they walked into the room! It took Bell services a day to find the tree, but when they did, it was CHristmas in our room from then on out!
