So we have 4 days starting March 30th (likely will be crowded but that's why I go for so many days...so we can enjoy and take our time!!

So, with lots being refurbed I thought we could try something new. Maybe a character meal? We haven't done one in a while. What's a good one...best price/fun?

What is the Fantasmic/meal thing?

Also, haven't been down downtown disney in a few years...anything fun?

Will be back in August so we don't have to do EVERYTHING...but wanted some input/suggestions.

Oh how wonderful-- 4 days. I can't speak to character meals, but I loved loved eating at the BB for F! I am not sure if it is in your budget, but I thought it was so very magical--try to give yourself extra time so you can ask for a water table (figure 45 minutes of waiting) and then you line up shortly before F! and get a great seat (there's a thread on this). If you think you want to go, I'd book your time now. We were at DLR earlier this month and heard it was very crowded, but we found that using rope drop at the park that doesn't have EMH (if you're staying off site) works really well for crowd management.

Not sure if you are traveling with kids but we love Goofys Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel. Make a reservation! You can take the monorail from Tomorrowland and get off at downtown disney so only a short walk. It is a super fun place to eat. It is expensive but you get a lot of food! We always leave stuffed. The characters come to each table and they recently added a song and dance. It is really magical!

Thanks, we haven't been in several years...however I thought I read something about them only having a few characters now?? What about the Plaza for breakfast do they still do that one?

Thanks, I'll look into that. I forgot you need reservations. Is there still a special reservation phone line you call into?

We'll be there the same days. We really like the character breakfast at Storyteller's inside the GCH. The food and interaction have both been outstanding.

My kids didn't really get into DTD until the hit the tween years but now they love it. They can easily spend a few hours there. They have tons of great shops plus Ride Makerz, a movie theater, Build A Bear. You can also check out the hotels; love the Grand lobby. Good food options in DTD as well.

I have thought a lot about the refurbs and there is still a ton to do. Do you usually see the shows? If not, maybe see Aladdin, it's so great!
