Upcoming Trips...Are You Planning on Cutting Back on Anything?

We are going in Sept. 2009. I have already changed our resort from POR to POP because of gas prices we are paying now. We loved POP so I am OK with it. If gas prices keep going up then I am scared to death what our airline will cost us.

I'm going to be watching to see if Disney starts offer more discounts for the fall I will tell you that.

Amen to that!! We don't have anything planned in the near or not so near future but if they were to "Make me an offer I can't refuse!" then maybe....

No cutting back here. This is going to our last trip to WDW for at least 5 yrs and I would like to go and do the things we want to do and no regrets.
We are still going on a budget by going during Free Dining and staying at the POP, but we are adding the water parks into the pkg this time around, which we have never done and we also added on the the Halloween Party.

A little bit of a cut back....no park hopper for one, no Waterparks & more add on (though I *might* take the boys once while there to a waterpark so not sure really how much of a saving that would be!!) & we switched to a value this year instead of our normal moderate hotel.

When we went in January we were already having to "cut back".
But now... for my solo trip.... considered cancelling it. But I dont' do anything else for myself all year, except for an occasional movie. And DD will be away at camp for 2 weeks (she had to make the choice to do camps or another short trip to WDW. tough choice, but she wants to be with her friends since we went in Jan.)
But I've already got my plane ticket... checked and it's almost doubled in price since I purchased it!!! Got a bounce back rate at the resort! And I will be either packing some food or order from Garden Grocer again (they are great!!). But I really don't eat much, so that will be cut back.... maybe one sit down at Ohanas?
In Jan we skipped the renting of boats and bikes (mainly because it was so cold!!) I will skip that in August.... and just do a lot of relaxing by the pool at CSR. I just need a break and a "sanity vacation"
So I am still going.....

I've cut back by not getting hoppers this time and by cutting way down on ts meals. I'm not paying $100 for a character breakfast where the kids do not even eat. Been there done that. We are splurging for YSH for my ds 13th birthday but the rest of the trip is cs or offsite. We are also staying at POP.

Some like to splurge on vacation, I'm just lucky we can go at all. Plus I'd rather do one budget trip a year than just do a big one every couple of years. It's about being in the magic, not how much $$ we spend doing it.
