This is the first time my DH and I are taking the kid (3 & 1) to WDW. This is also the first time we're using the DDP. Here is what we have planned on. Can I get some opinions?

Day 2 - Lunch @ Garden Grill Restaurant @ Epcot (ADR)
Dinner @ Cantina de San Angel @ Epcot (No ADR)

Day 3 - Breakfast @ Hollywood & Vine @ DHS (ADR)
Lunch @ Backlot Express @ DHS (No ADR)

Day 4 - Lunch @ Flame Tree BBQ @ AK (No ADR)
Dinner @ Cap'n Jacks @ DDD (No ADR)

Day 5 - Lunch @ Crystal Palace @ MK (ADR)

Day 6 (Final Day) - Breakfast @ Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House @ AK

I appreciate any input I can get. I'm a HUGE planner and have our schedule pretty much set for our 6 day vacation coming up Sept 13-18, 2008.:cool1:

My opinions on the places we've been -

Lunch @ Garden Grill Restaurant - We love Garden Grill, and are so disappointed that they are changing it in October. We had an ADR for our trip that we lost due to the changes. The food was so fresh and tasty when we went and the character interaction was excellent. Enjoy it while you can!

Breakfast @ Hollywood & Vine -We've never had breakfast here, but have found H&V to be hit or miss. Sometimes it's excellent, others just ok, others horrible. You will find mixed reviews on here as well. Breakfast should be pretty safe. :)

Lunch @ Flame Tree BBQ - really good food!

Lunch @ Crystal Palace - We have always found CP to be excellent, and most reviews will agree. The restaurant is bright and fun, and the food is varied and good.

Breakfast @ Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House - We haven't been to the new location yet, have it scheduled for Oct. But the previous Donald's breakfast was our favorite. And I have heard it's great now too.

Your plan looks pretty good! (in my oppinion)

We like Cantina de San Angel ourselves but there are definately better values for your CS meal if you are looking for them. Such as Sunshine seasons or Tangerine Cafe while in Epcot.

If you are looking for a CS for Day 5, we like Pinnochio Village Haus in MK.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

They all sound pretty good to me. I did notice that you only have one TS dinners scheduled. Is that because you don't want to keep the little ones up late?

One thing I might change would be to eat at Sunshine Seasons in the Land instead of Cantina De San Angel. Here's my reasons:

We like CDSA but not everyone does.

The kid's meal is very limited (Plato del Nino - grilled chicken and low fat cheese quesadilla, tortilla chips and a small soft drink, 1% milk or small water $3.99) They also get a churro for dessert. Most are going to want a taco or burrito, I think.

The kids selections at SS are pretty good and more varied. They can even get a chicken leg and mashed potatoes. Also, they have great desserts! :lovestruc

CDSA is located outside, next to the water. Nice location but can be very warm, and crowded-can be hard to get a table.

SS is located inside the Land and has A/C. :goodvibes

Also at SS they is a lot for adults to choose from as well. I'm really looked forward to going back and having Seared Tuna on Mixed Greens with Sesame Rice Wine dressing $8.39 which is really good. Who every thought you could get seared tuna at a CS?

So, those are my thoughts.

We too are eating at Tuskers new buffet this trip, but for dinner.

We tend to use our TS for dinners and CS for lunches. We save one TS for our last breakfast (This year 'Ohanas). Towards the end of the trip as we realize how many CS we have to use, we will get breakfast at food court and sandwiches for the airplace trip home. :goodvibes

Anyway, that's my thoughts.

I would get an ADR for Capt'n Jacks on day 4. You could always cancel if you can't make it.

Perhaps my children don't travel as well as others. But I'm going to make a suggestion anyway since you did ask. Have you comsidered that your schedule might be alot for such young children? The parks really wipe mine out. Just a thought.:hippie:

You're exactly right. I have thought about this. My hubby and I have discussed this. We have our list of "would like to's" and "must do's". Trust me...the must do list is very short. We have also scheduled times to go back to the hotel to nap each day. That's why I wanted to get in at least one character meal a day in so we could be sure to see the ones we wanted to and not have to spend that extra time in the parks searching for them. Thank you for your opinion. It's very appreciated.;)

Yes, you're right. We only have 1 TS Dinner planned because we usually eat fairly early since we're up and do breakfast so early. It's also because they go to bed earlier than usual. I didn't want to take fussy kids to dinner at 8:00. That's never fun.

I hope you enjoy Ohana's. We weren't able to get a reservation (yet). I keep calling and trying. That's how we ended up getting into the breakfast with Donald @ Tusker House. I called about every other day and finally got lucky. It's our last day there and I wanted to something as a send-off.

I am still debating on CDSA. We'll see where we are when the kids get hungry I guess.
