Oh, the stroller story! I was always worried that would happen to us! Good thing it all worked itself out!
I never really thought twice about dropping off our stroller being that I didn't ever the same one again on the entire trip! But, this coming trip, a large luggage tag of some sort will be attached! I'm soooo glad it worked itself out, what a mess that could have been.
That is great you met up with the other family and got your strollers exchanged! I always wondered when I'd see those masses of strollers outside attractions if anyone ever took someone else's. (We had ours "stolen" at
Disneyland back in 1983 along with hubcaps from our car in the parking lot - never got either back. It wasn't funny then but is now.)
I was wondering - you had ADR's at Mama Melrose's but didn't go to dinner. Did you have the Fantasmic package with that ADR? Were you able to cancel the ADR in time?
I'm glad your DH got a seat close up. I have the Fantasmic package for my upcoming trip but it was going to be for my son and myself but now he's not going & I'm not on the dining plan so I'm going to cancel my Mama Melrose ADR and just head over to Fantasmic. Altho I may regret it by missing out on those reserved seats!
That is AWFUL about your stroller and hubcaps! Oh man, it's one of those "Remember the trip when..." sort of stories. Ugh.
We orginally had the Fantasmic package, but I had canceled it prior to the trip and just set up a normal ADR without the package. We just did the seperate ADR mainly because we didn't like the very early dinner time we had with the package. The seats are to the far right when you are looking at the stage, so they aren't right on, but they are decent and there was PLENTY of open bleacher space in that area. So if you want to avoid a really long wait to get a seat, or don't want to be sandwiched in there, I would suggest to keep the package.
Just wanted to say hey! I'm really enjoying reading your TR A month from today I will be at Wilderness Lodge and you are making me more and more excited to be there!
So glad to hear you are enjoying it! The WL is awesome - you will LOVE IT! I have even more pictures of it coming up soon too.
We were at Animal Kingdom to that day.
The park was sort of crowded.
We were doing a slow leisurely day and I made my dh
take the train to where-ever it goes.
We walked around back there for about 20 minutes
My dh really isn't into learning about animals.
When we left, the Dream Team was standing in the pathway
leading to the Train.
We won Fast Passes.
So it made the day even quicker and we were done with the park by 2:00
We had an ADR for Yak and Yeti at 4:45, but my dh didn't want to wait around.
I wish we would of, the food looks really good.
The parts of the park we were in at time were just packed! I could barely move sometimes. But then again, we have never gone in the summer when Disney is insane, so we don't have much to compare it to.
I want to hop on the train this coming trip and check that area out - what did you think of it?
That's so cool that you got Dream Fast Passes! I only saw the Dream Team about 4 times during the entire trip - mostly at MK. I was hoping for that night at the Castle too!
The meal at Yak & Yeti was very good - Joe wants to go back there sometime so we can really enjoy the food. I've heard the CS is pretty similar too.
Great updates Brook - I'm all caught up!
Glad you got to see Fantasmic and I kind of agree with you. I don't think I'd care if I didn't see it again! But it's Lauren's "thing" so it's usually on our must-do list.
I'm glad you were accommodated with the seating too! Don't ever feel bad about using the GAC. As others have mentioned, if it helps to make sure you guys get the most out of your vacation, then you most definitely should use it!
Loved your descriptions of the WL - bringing back fond memories. And I thought the same thing about the bus sharing with the GF! We were there in June and many times our WL would pull into the GF bus stop and not be able to fit many people on. To be paying all that money to stay at that resort and then not be able to get on a bus - I'd be fuming!
Oh good, glad I'm not alone in the Fantasmic deal.

And I'll try not to feel bad about the GAC this upcoming trip. It's such a nice deal, and really great that Joe doesn't have to go find a CM everytime to explain his situation. He HATES doing that too. I love the Disney thinks of these little things just to make the trip easier and more enjoyable for
everyperson.
It's so weird about the GF having to share buses! I'm really surprised if people don't complain about that!
What a day! You guys are troopers! Pooper Troopers! Sorry, I couldn't resist! I sure hope these tummy troubles go away.

I love it! Yes, we were PTs that day for sure!
Wholly Smokes Brook... you were busy today!!!!
I'm sorry you guys are still sick.... booooo. I can realate to the factor about being that kind of sick, and nothing but public restrooms around. bummer.
I'm coming to the conclusion that Henry is THE PERFECT kid!! Never fusses, complains, always so cute and happy
I can't wait til Wednesdays post
Paula
Ya, I was a posting fool.

I had most of it written and the pictures already uploaded, so the posts were a nice "brain break" from work for a bit here and there.
It was very interesting being sick like that at Disney. Certainly something we will never, never forget!
Henry really is a VERY good baby. He is very mild mannered, and while he does have his moments (we all do!), it's usually for a very good reason. I'm often shocked at how chill he is. The last night, as we were packing up our bag he was up WAYYYYY past his bedtime and he "hit the wall" in hysterics. I knew it was time RIGHT NOW to go to bed for him. But, that with maybe a couple other very small fussy moments are about it for the entire trip. We are VERY blessed!
Sorry you all were sooooo sick on your AK day! When we went back in May, our DD8 was ever-so-sick like you guys....and it turned out to be an incredibly yucky day for her. We ended up leaving the park before doing many of the things we wanted to do. In fact, DS11 and I made a joke after we rode EE and ate at Y&Y: "Well....we've seen the Yeti....let's just hope we don't have to see the Yak!"
On our upcoming trip, we plan to do Animal Kingdom early in the trip (perhaps the 2nd day) and hopefully we can ALL stay healthy!
By the way, I CRACKED UP at the picture of that guy on the Dinosaur ride!! TOO FUNNY!
That is SO funny! "We've seen the Yeti, let's hope we don't see the Yak!" I love it!!!!!
Thankfully Joe and I just pushed on through the day and enjoyed it anyway. We were determined to make the most of the day in the best way we could considering our circumstances.
We have a very loose schedule for our next trip, but as of right now AK is on the 1st full day. (More details on all that coming soon!) We hope we are healthy too so we can enjoy it!! I hope the same for your family!!
I laughed so hard when I saw their picture come up on Dinosaur! Joe said he was a very talkative, funny, and animated guy too. When the lights went out and the ride stopped the guy sorta flipped a bit wondering if it was supposed to do that, or if that meant "they died".
Great TR! I haven't gotten all the way through yet, but I just wanted to post to subscribe. The photos are wonderful and your DS is adorable!
Welcome! Thank you!!! I hope you enjoy it!
I am so sorry you were sick again! But, I have to say, it seemed like a really nice day at AK (minus the bathroom incidents)! I'd love to wander around the park seeing all the little details. It seems like we always allot only one day to AK, so we don't have time to slow down and take it all in. How cool that even the bathrooms are themed so well! I used them, but never took the time to notice. Well, I guess if you spend *that* much time in them, you have no choice but to notice, right?
Oh - Goofy's Candy store looks AWESOME - must put it on the list for next time!
It really was a nice day at AK despite the stomach issues and many loooooong bathroom breaks. It's such a cool park. And yes, exactly-when you spend so much time inside and outside of the AK bathrooms you really do notice some neat details!

I forgot to mention that the woman's bathroom near the Lion King show has Hidden Mickey's in the tile work on the floor. I was in that one FOREVER and was thankful for something fun to look at.
Goofy's is really awesome! I am sure we'll be hitting it up again! There are a TON of things in there to look at and buy. And make your own treats are so fun!
I think you set a record today!
I sure wish Henry and Belle could have a play date. He looks like bundles of fun.
Would you mind PMing me about the truffles? I think G might like that and we are celebrating our anniversary, as well.
Aw, that is sweet! I bet Henry would LOVE a play date with Belle too!! She's such a cutie.
I will PM you about the truffles right after I'm done posting here....the WL has a couple other options as well that I will tell you about too.
You're an updating machine!!
Glad to read you're almost feeling better on the trip... but with all that candy waiting, sounds like another stomach waiting to happen!
The gift for Joe is very, very neat! Were they yummy?
Thanks for feeding all of our TR obsession with lots to read today! It's been fun!
The gift for Joe was very, very yummy. We didn't dive into it until after we got home-all the truffles are now gone, but here is a play by play of our first bites of the chocolate box:
We are such dorks.
Glad to provide you (and others) a TR fix!
And no worries on all the candy building up on our table at the WL-NONE of it got eaten until we were back at home. Which was actually really nice, it was like an extra Disney treat after vacation! We are even still munching on the turn down mints!
