Up, down and all around...a trip we will NEVER forget - COMPLETE 1/19

Yum!! Lots of close-up photos of little Boma pastries!! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to eat there in January!

Another great chapter! :dance3:

Yes! The good breakfast is right by Nemo and right before Everest.

BOMA. That is my absolute FAVORITE restaurant. It is my one request to eat at this time around. I have never tried breakfast, but, dinner was absolutely FABULOUS:wizard:

Yummmmmy breakfast!!!! makes me hungry!!! I glad you guys were feeling better and able to enjoy it!

I love your AKL pictures!!! We stayed there in 05 and it was soooo pretty! We'll definitely stay there again!

That picture of Henry at the end is adorable! What a little cutie pie!!

I love that picture of Henry too! He was sure having a great time! I can't believe that you saw the airpirt family again....small world.

I sure hope we can see AKL on our next trip. IMO, it is the most unique and intriguing resort at Disney. The only downside is the location.

Where are you staying in January? Have you revealed those details yet?

yay!! this is the part I've been waiting for:goodvibes

I loved Boma Bfst too... i made QUITE the piggy of myself with all those delish little pastries....yummo!!

These are the kinds of things I need to talk my crew into Boma. I'd really like to go for dinner, but I think I'm going to have to ease into it and go with breakfast first. They think there will be more recognizable food in the morning! :)

Thanks for all the good pictures, Brooke!

I so need to visit if not stay at the the Animal Kingdom Lodge... every picture makes me so want to visit!

Is that an ostrich light I see? That is amazing!

Boma looks good! I'm so glad that you are feeling better at this point in the trip!! :goodvibes

Ahhh, a post full of my favorite things...AKL and breakfast at Boma! Hey, I just realized that on this day (Dec. 10th) last year...I ate breakfast at Boma! Yum! :lovestruc

Come back brookelizabeth...don't leave us hanging...:surfweb: :)

Pooper trooper! LOL!

Boma looks so good! I need to show the photos to my BF as part of my let's go to Disney World propaganda mission.

I noticed as I was looking at the pictures again of how my plates were at least twice as full as Joe's. Hmmm... He just said he could eat here for breakfast every trip. I love that man! :thumbsup2

We loved the dinner too, soooooo yummy. Breakfast does NOT disappoint either! I want to do both again.

That picture of Henry at the end is adorable! What a little cutie pie!!

I was so happy to wake up without a churning and grumbling stomach. And the fact that I was hungry-it was like a feast for a king at Boma!

I love that pic of Henry too, he's so silly and happy!

I love that picture of Henry too! He was sure having a great time! I can't believe that you saw the airpirt family again....small world.

It was really strange-and there is more of that similar thing coming up too! It's funny that no matter how big WDW is, it's so easy to run into the same people over and over.

Henry was having a great time, all his favorites were at Boma, pancakes, pastries and yogurt!

I sure hope we can see AKL on our next trip. IMO, it is the most unique and intriguing resort at Disney. The only downside is the location.

I don't mind the location of AKL because their buses are awesome and don't share with other resorts. When we stayed there in 2006 we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus and it was generally less than 5 minutes, even at the parks. Very quick trips! But, I do have to say, the monorail, and even being able to walk to parks, is such a bonus.

I haven't revealed those details yet, they are coming soon though!

Thanks for all the good pictures, Brooke!

You are very welcome MeMom! I think your crew would love both breakfast and dinner there! Dinner does have some exotic things, but Joe isn't much of an adventorus eater and he very much enjoyed our dinner there in 2006. But, breakfast would be a good way to start them. ;) There are more pics of the buffet coming up too!

I so need to visit if not stay at the the Animal Kingdom Lodge... every picture makes me so want to visit!

It's SO PRETTY! I love it! I have more pics of it coming up too.

Is that an ostrich light I see? That is amazing!

Boma looks good! I'm so glad that you are feeling better at this point in the trip!! :goodvibes

I included that just for you!!!!!! :goodvibes The ostrich lights RULE.

Boma is delish! So so good. And it was so so nice being able to enjoy it!

I knew that you'd love that:thumbsup2

Come back brookelizabeth...don't leave us hanging...:surfweb: :)

I'm sorry about being delayed lately, work is still nutty AND we have some serious family drama going on. Nothing between Joe and I, but it does affect my Mom, Uncle, Aunt and mainly my Grandma. She's not sick, thankfully, but it's still a huge ordeal that is very stressful for everyone. Loooong phone conversations with my Mom each night have been happening, so I haven't gotten anytime to work on the TR. However, I do believe tomorrow might be a good DIS day! :yay:

I have more Boma and more AKL coming too! You've seen the AKL pics on the Jambo Lite thread, but it never hurts to see AKL pics over and over and over and over again!

Pooper trooper! LOL!

Boma looks so good! I need to show the photos to my BF as part of my let's go to Disney World propaganda mission.

Oh, and I have more Boma buffet pics for your ammo coming soon! Is he a beer drinker? Have you seen the "beer flights" that are offered during F&W? Hmmm...trying to think of anything else that might entice! ;)

And a note to you all,
I posted above in my reply to CJs Mom that I have been away from the DIS a bit more lately due to the craziness at work, but also due to some serious family drama and stress going on. Joe, Henry and I are fine - but this stress does affect my Mom, my Uncle, my Aunt and mainly my Grandma, who I am very close to. She is not sick, thankfully, but it's an awful situation that has happened to her and causes great stress on her-which is making her sick, which makes me worried. She is 87 years old and a WONDERFUL lady who I care about beyond what words could even possibly explain. I have been on very long nightly calls with my Mom about this whole situation, and therefore much of the rest of my life has been neglected, including the DIS. I would appericate any prayers/thoughts for my Grandma, this is a very unfair situation that she is in and is awful. Really, really awful. She is a precious lady who has been treated horribly by someone she cares about (someone my Mom and everyone else in the family thought we could trust). My Grandma is removed from the situation, but the whole ordeal hasn't ended quite yet. Please pray for her, the stress to end and she not be affected any longer by this whole mess. I hate that she has been so stressed about it all it has caused her to become physically ill. :sad1:

I'm rambling, so I'll end it here - your prayers and thoughts are very, very appericated!

Brook-I will be praying for your grandma (and all of you, sounds like the stress is really getting to everyone).

Also, I enjoyed reading about your breakfast at Boma. Cute story about seeing the same little boy and the coloring books.

I hope the situation/stress clears up very quickly and that your entire family (especially your grandma) is able to fully enjoy the holiday season.

brookelizabeth, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmothers situation. Finding out that you put trust in a person who doesn't deserve it is such a horrible thing! I hope she will get over the stress soon in order to be able to enjoy life and especially christmas again!!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

:grouphug: I'll be keeping grandma and the rest of you in my thoughts and prayers:grouphug:

I hope that everything gets resolved soon, so grandma isn't so stressed and that you all cal enjoy the Holidays!!

Paula

Brook, you can count on our prayers for your grandmother, her situation, and for the entire family. :grouphug:

The Renfroes

Brook - You have my best thoughts winging your way for you and your family, especially your grandmother.

I'm so sorry to hear about everything going on - you're all in my prayers.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family:hug:

I'm really enjoying your trip report. Your photos are great!
