DO NOT PAY FOR THE SEA LION TOUR. I would give it no stars, but that was not an option. Save your money because you will not be up-close with a sea lion like the title and the picture suggest. First, you go to Pacific Point Preserve and they tell you the difference between a sea lion and a seal; which can be read on the signs around the exhibit. Next, you go to where the “Clyde & Seamore” show takes place. You are asked to sit in the first two rows and then are quickly taken up to the tank, a group at the time to have your picture quickly taken. You are not allow to look at the sea lion (you keep your back towards him) and have to take a large step forward before you can walk back to your seats. Then you head back to Pacific Point Preserve where you are given a bucket of fish to feed them with everyone else. Just save your money and get to the show early to sit in the first two rows and spend $20 and get five trays of fish to feed the seals/sea lions at Pacific Point Preserve for the same experience.

I saw you posted this exact same message on the facebook fan page. While it may not have been worth it to you, there are some people that would cherish the opportunity to be able to get that close to a sealion for a picture and to have some one on one time with trainers and education experts. Reading the description on the Seaworld website....

"Are you silly for sea lions? If so, join us on this one-hour tour to find out what it takes to care for and train the hilarious stars of Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island. Meet one of the stars of the show for an exclusive photo shoot and then for the grand finale help us feed buckets of fish to dozens of sea lions and harbor seals at Pacific Point Preserve. It will be an uproarious experience you'll never forget!"

It sounds to me that you did everything that the description on the website said you would. So I don't know what more you were expecting with the tour.

To add, it sounds as if there are some people who disagree with your assessment of the tour. Here is a ladies response to your post on facebook....

Sorry to hear you didn't like it, we did it in October and thoroughly enjoyed it. We got to meet Apollo and have a lovely picture of us with him (didn't see OP Otter though :-( ) and we always enjoy chatting with the educators and trainers that you get to spend a lot of time with on the tours. Each to their own of course, but we thought it was good value for money.
