I will be staying at CBR. I need transportation to Colonial Drive in the downtown area in morning and back to CBR in the evening for three days. Need to be there no later than 8:30 am and leave around 4:30 pm as I am taking some classes. Rental car is not an option as I do not drive. Do I have any options other than taxi?
? How close do Lynx buses run on time.

East and West Colonial Drive is a LONG stretch, do you know what part you need to go to?

Taxis will be VERY expensive to get there... At least $50 each way, if not much more, due to traffic.

Lynx bus might be able to get you back to Disney, but probably will not be able to get you there on time in the morning. The first Lynx bus to leave the TTC is around 7:18am, and will get you to the Central station at 8:05. From there, you can transfer to one of a bunch of different buses that go along East and West Colonial. The East Colonial bus leaves at 8:00, so if you miss that connection, you have to wait until 8:30 for the next one. Same with one of the West Colonials. The other doesn't leave till 8:15, but then, it doesn't get to Colonial itself until 8:24, that doesn't give you much time to get to the destination, wherever it might be.

If you call 407-841-LYNX they can help you with route assistance, or you can go to www.golynx.com

I just noticed this on the Lynx Website... a new feature!

They have an automated trip planner...

This link should work, if it doesn't, it's under the "Route Assistance" menu.

Not really sure what to use for Disney's address, though. And also, just beware of the Triple D routes... (300-304... Downtown/Disney Direct) as they are commuter runs that go in the opposite direction of what you need)

Thank You very much for the reply. I checked out the Lynx schedules. I would need to be at the Disney Transportation and Ticket Center by 7:18 (which I would have to do with a taxi probably) to catch Lynx #50 to Downtown Central Station, scheduled to arrive at Central Station at 8:05 Then my two options to transfer would be #48 or #49. #49 leaves Central Station at 8:00 or 8:30 and arrive close to my destination at 8:12 or 8:42, #48 leaves Central Station at 8:15 and arrives close to my destination at 8:27. Do you think there is any chance that the #50 would run early enough to catch the 8:00 #49? Another option may be to take another taxi from Central Station to the Orlando Technical Education Center at 1801 W. Colonial Dr.

Did you consider changing your hotel? Since you're planning on taking a cab to the TTC check on taking a cab to somewhere else to catch your first bus. You might get a better connection.

You can catch the Magic Kingdom bus from CBR around 6:30am to get to the TTC. Just let the driver know that you need to get to the TTC to catch the 7:18 Lynx bus.

As for the Lynx bus running early... it's a possibility that it will arrive to Central Station before 8:00, however, part of the route is on I4, so it's no guarantee.

that route runs late every day rush hour traffic into Orlando, and part of the highway is under construction, plus it the down town bus station was permantly closed this past weekend and the new Central station was opened, and that requires the bus haveing to go farther into downtown Orlando.

I would guess that the #50 leaving the TTC at 7:18 would really be into the central station around 8:30am.

have you considered a taxi cab to the Orlando Premium outlet mall and cathcing the #42 that starts running at 5:20 and then every 1/2 hour you could go to wet and wild and transfer to the number 8 (the 42 and the 8 should meet there) the 8 will then take you into the central station. then you can transfer from there.

Thank You very much for these replies. I took a quick look at that option that Mooving was talking about and that looks like that may be my safest option to get there on time, also a cab ride to the Outlets should not be real expensive. I know that another hotel would be the best answer but the rest of the family wants to stay onsite and visit the parks, resort hop etc. Thanks again I knew you guys would come through.
